Hi there! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of 2021. I know everyone says this, but were we not just at the beginning of 2020? What a crazy few couple of years. Anyways, with the holiday season in full swing, I wanted to share a really cool kit. Make this Universe is a small Ontario business that focuses on DIY kits! I can’t wait to show you about this clay mask one!
First Impressions: Three Ships Beauty
Hello! Today I have a first impressions of some Three Ships Beauty products I purchased recently! I’ve known about the brand for awhile but have always had a couple skincare things on the go. I’ve finally taken the plunge and picked up a few things! I’ve only been using them for a week, so for now it’ll just be a first impression!
First Impressions: Jowae Skincare
Hello! I recently received a really exciting package from Influenster full of Jowae skincare products. I was aware of the brand when they first launched in Canada, but I never dived into any of the products fully. I’ve been meaning to really switch up my skincare routine, so I was happy to give these a go.
First Impressions: Joico Defy Damage Sleepover
Joico is a brand that I recently tried through ChickAdvisor when I tried out the Zero Heat hair cream. I recently got sent another Joico product from ChickAdvisor, the Defy Damage treatment. I’ve been using it for about a week, and thought I’d share my quick thoughts!
First Impressions: Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator
I find myself always looking for new foundation as I feel like my skin is constantly in flux. In my later teens and earlier twenties, I found my skin impossibly oily. Now I’m definitely more combo-normal, and leaning dry in the winter. This new Urban Decay launch really intrigued me as they were marketing it to all skin types. With winter in full force, I thought I’d give it a try!
New Year, New Products! – Profusion Magnetix, 7th Heaven, I Love
Farleyco has brought on some new brands and products to Canada and I can’t wait to show them to you. All of these products have got me super excited. Maybe some of them will pique your interest as well?
First Impressions: Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde + Swatches
With it being Sephora Sale Season (you still have one day left for the sale! Code is HOLIDAYSAVE, expires Nov 11, 2019), I was going back and forth with the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette. I haven’t been buying makeup lately, one, because I’m adulting and paying bills and spoiling my cats, and two, there just haven’t been many releases that have excited me. At a time when consumers are getting more conscious of their consumption, it’s surprising that companies have been ramping up production of new releases like no one’s business. I took to Twitter to help me make a decision. It was close, but the Yays triumphed. I dumped some other things in my basket and went for this. I have to say, I’m in love so far.
Makeup Looks + First Impressions: My Almay Face
So I’m not sure if it’s just me, but Almay has been changing up their look. Early on in my makeup journey, I had a couple of things from Almay, but to tell you the truth, they kind of blend in with all the other drugstore brands. From their recent look and feel, you can tell they are trying to differentiate themselves as ‘cleaner and hypoallergenic’. They’ve always been sort of about this, but with the recent clean beauty trends, they are definitely putting that more front and centre. Today I have a few new-to-me/ newish-to-me products from Almay that I put together into a look. Can’t wait to show you my thoughts!
First Impressions: Almay Spring 2019
I was recently sent a whole wack of (relatively) new Almay products, and I’ve been playing with them for the last couple of days! Wanted to show you what was worth the money, and things that I wasn’t too thrilled with. The collection of these products definitely have a ‘festival’ vibe in my opinion, with metallics and glitters! I’m super excited to show you what’s what!
First Impressions: Urban Decay Born to Run Palette (Swatches)
When I was closing on my house, the last thing I was thinking about was new makeup. And during that time, there were no releases that I got particularly excited about. Except this one. When I first saw the Urban Decay Born to Run palette I was instantly pulled in. I love that it had an even amount of mattes, metallics, neturals and colours! I can wait to show you my thoughts!
