First Impressions: Jowae Skincare

Hello! I recently received a really exciting package from Influenster full of Jowae skincare products. I was aware of the brand when they first launched in Canada, but I never dived into any of the products fully. I’ve been meaning to really switch up my skincare routine, so I was happy to give these a go.

Jowae Micellar Cleansing Water

First up is the micellar cleansing water. I feel like micellar water is so popular on the market now. On the Jowae website, it lists this as a cleanser which I suppose it is, but I wouldn’t use this alone. It does a great job of removing gunk after using an oil based cleanser for makeup.

I will definitely use this all up. It doesn’t strip the skin, but does a good job of cleansing the rest of the makeup that a cleanser would leave behind.

This is a common theme for all of these products, they are extremely fragranced. I actually don’t mind the smell. It’s pretty powerful though. So if scent is a deal breaker, then you might want to keep that in mind.

Jowae Hydrating Water Mist

So I must admit, when I got the hydrating water mist, I did think it was a bit gimmicky. It’s one of those ‘extra’ products that feel cool, but you never really use. This definitely reminds me of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. The differentiating factor that I really like is that this has a continuous spray. Again, it has a pretty strong scent, but it definitely is refreshing. I don’t think I’d necessarily repurchase, but if you’re in the market for a nice facial spray I think this one is a top contender!

Jowae Moisturizing Light Cream

So this was definitely my favourite product of the bunch (even though all three are really nice). The moisturizing light cream is just that! A cream that is moisturizing, but very light and airy. I’ve been using this day and night and I’m loving it. A strong scent similar to other products, but one that I enjoy. It’s just a really solid cream. I would say if you’re really dry, this might not give you enough moisture. This is the perfect daily moisturizer though. It wears fine under makeup. I can see myself looking into repurchasing this actually once it’s all out!

I’m really impressed with these Jowae products. I love the packaging a lot (I know packaging doesn’t make a product, but it sure doesn’t hurt). These are pretty accessible as well. Not the cheapest products, but most are around $20-$40 CAD which aren’t too bad. I was very impressed with these and am definitely going to look into more of their products!

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

  1. I’m with you on facial mists – if it’s there I’ll use it, otherwise it’s not on a wish list but I might give the moisturizing cream and the micellar water a try 🙂
