Haul: One of a Kind Show Spring 2023

One of a kind show spring 2023

Hello! It’s felt like forever since I did a haul post for the One of a Kind show, but this spring show I think I spent the most I’ve ever spent at a show! I thought this was worth doing a full post since with just straight photo or short form video content it’s hard to really dive deep into the brands and the products! So here is everything I picked up at the show!

C Yarn Hut

First up is a DIY Kit from C Yarn Hut! Her booth was crazy cute with tons of adorable crochet creations. What I ended up picking up was this little Cactus DIY Kit. So I’ve never actually crocheted before, so I asked what a pretty easy one was. She mentioned that this one was pretty beginner level (I guess I’ll be the judge of that). I’m a huge crafter and I can’t wait to try this out! 🙂 The kit even comes with a little pot! Can we get a collective “awwww”.

Courage Cookies

Next was a 6 pack of cookies from Courage Cookies. Everything just looked absolutely delish and we had a really nice conversation with the owners. Courage Cookies donates 5% of overall revenue to a new organization each month. I picked up a nice array of cookies and I must admit, the star of the show for me was the Mini Egg Cookie! I’d highly recommend!

The County Bounty

On the food train, we also have The County Bounty which makes artisanal sodas out of Ontario. She has some really unique flavours and I always enjoy picking some up! I must say, I usually forgot about which flavours I’ve tried and which I have not haha. I’ve definitely liked some more than others, but these four I picked up this time really hit the spot! I just really love the unique flavours!

This year for the media breakfast, we got gifted this adorable tote by Home by Faith. I was just totally in love with the cute design that I had to stop by the booth. I was totally suckered into the Mystery Bundle (as I usually am with these things). I’m so glad I picked this up just because of the incredible value. I got a TON of stuff. Like, when I say a TON, I mean a TONNN. Huge amount of stickers that I can put in my planner, bookmarks, a card, a magnet and more. I’ve already put a few of these stickers on my iPad case. 🙂

Flossie

Flossie cotton candy

Okay so here’s a fun one! The entrepreneur extraordinaire of Alicia Confections started a cotton candy business, Flossie. In her usual creative and fun fashion, the branding is so on point along with super fun flavours I’ve already enjoyed the Tangerine and Blue Raspberry and both were super tasty! I was a bit worried that these would get crushed with all my other purchases but they withstood the trip! I can’t wait to munch through the Grape flavour!

Roncy Packs

Roncy packs

Okay this was a must do really. I’m a HUGE fan of Roncy Packs. They repurpose old fabrics into these incredible fanny packs. I’ve been really loving them (I already have 2) and wanted to add one of the spring colours to my collection! I love how they are a family run company (the co-founders’ mom sews the packs, isn’t that just the cutest?). These are incredibly well made and just love the sustainability aspect that they have with their company. I find myself using my fanny pack more than a purse (especially travelling) just beccause it’s so convenient!

Silver Swallow

One thing about me that you may or may not know that I don’t drink alcohol at all. I’m loving all of these companies that are coming out with non-alcoholic drinks to make me feel bougie. Silver Swallow was at the media breakfast to providing samples. They have two flavours, but I ended up buying the Rose. It’s described as a luxury kombucha which I’d totally agree with. I’m actually a huge fan of kombucha anyways and was happy to support a brand that was adding to the non-alcoholic drink array!

Freon Collective

Next up, someone that needs no introduction (cause I literally talk about her constantly) is my friend Nancy’s company, Freon Collective. I knew exactly what I’d be buying from her this time around. She’s recently started selling these soap saver bags that you can put bar soaps in and use as an exfoliating loofa but also keep all those little bits and pieces contained. I actually specifically haven’t used some of my bar soaps due to this reason! A welcome addition to the bathroom for sure!

I’ll Know it When I See It

I’ll know it when I see it stickers

I’ll Know It When I See It was a new booth to me even though they’ve been around at the One of a Kind Show before. They had a huge array of stickers, magnets, and more with just cute, quirky and snarky things. Two of the stickers I got were book focused (of course) and the other one is Asian focused. A lot of their art features Asian jokes, quirks, or snack/food which obviously struck a cord!

PAUME

PAUME skincare

Next up is PAUME, a brand all about your hands! I’ve been curious about this brand for quite some time, and was excited to see them at the One of a Kind Show. They specifically have products related to making skincare for your hands. I actually was thinking about this recently on why there hasn’t been more companies focusing on the hands. As they say, aging shows very easily on your hands! I picked up their Probiotic Hand Balm and their Moisturizing Antibacterial Hand Gel!

Simplymi Studio

As I was shopping up a storm, I decided to buy some bath salts for my husband. He really likes these and Simplymi Studio creates her own signature mixes. This one smelt amazing and I could totally see this as a must for a relaxing bath!

Studio Peachy

Last but not least is Studio Peachy where I picked up this adorable acrylic bookmark. To be honest I’m not too sure how much I’ll use this as an actual bookmark, but the aesthetic was too cute to pass up! Studio Peachy has cute earrings, mirrors and other acrylic items that are just so so adorable!

And there is my haul of everything I bought from the One of a Kind Show this year. It was a LOT! I just love supporting small businesses and was in a very ‘treat yo self’ sort of mood! I hope if you like anything showcased you check them out and support local!
