I almost never blow dry my hair, I’m gonna be completely honest. One of the reasons why is that my hair gets so extremely frizzy. It’s frizzy on a good day. I was given the opportunity to try the Revlon Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. I had very very high hopes. Did it meet my expectations?
When unboxing this, I was surprised to see how big it was. On the box, it doesn’t necessarily look small, but a lot thinner than it does in real life. This was better for me though because I have pretty thick, long, hair. I need the extra room!
The cord is super long and has that swivel function that prevents tangles. Because you’re spinning it this way and that, it’s good that definitely the cord doesn’t get messy! The brush itself has nylon pins and tufted bristles which really help to detangle. It has a ceramic coating to prevent damage and utilize even heat distribution which I did notice when using.
The dryer has three settings, Cool, Low and High. I’ve only really ever used it on High. To turn it from the off position, you just swivel the base and it turns on. I don’t know why I was surprised that it sounded just like a hair dryer but I was. :p I wasn’t sure how warm it would get, but I was able to get it at a pretty nice heat.
So what are my thoughts? This is literally the only hair dryer you need. I am SO impressed by this hair tool. I’m able to dry my hair quickly, and it really reduces the frizz. I made a short video just to show me using it. I also appreciate how easy this is to use. I have a round brush that I never use as I just find it so awkward trying to handle the dryer and the brush. A big two thumbs up from me.
One of the best parts is the price. This is pretty reasonable for a hair tool at around $65 CAD. When I checked Walmart Canada, they have it online for $58 CAD! This would make a great Christmas or holiday gift for a loved one. I know I’ll be completely retiring my other hair dryer to use this!
