After longgg awaited prep, I managed to finally finish a full declutter of my makeup collection. After moving into my new house, I thought this would be a great excuse to go through all my makeup and get rid of things that I no longer am using or are just old and need to be purged. I have so many pictures (it took hours upon hours to photograph and sort!) so this will be a mini series of things I’m keeping and things I’m getting rid of! First up is blush, bronzer and highlighter!
Blush
I’ve never had the biggest blush collection, but I think I’ve curated it to ones that I really use. I curated even further down to 5 single blushes. My face palettes with blush are for another post.
I like blushes from all different brands. The ones I kept are in the pic above, which includes Too Faced (Papa Don’t Peach, probably my favourite in my collection), NARS, Mary Kay*, H&M and Tarte. I kept each of them just because they added something different.
I got rid of quite a few other blushes, mostly because they’re old. I feel like I’ve had the Milani blushes forever, even though I like them quite a bit. Colour-wise as well, I noticed I decluttered ones that I don’t wear as much because they’re too light (Mary Kay*) or too dark (Wet n Wild*).
Bronzer
I have an even smaller collection of bronzer than I do of blushes! Bronzer is never really a must for me and I use it when I remember. 😛 My absolute favourite bronzer is the Annabelle Biggy Bronzer Matte*. If I were to only pick one bronzer I would definite pick that one! I also kept two Too Faced bronzers which of course are still stellar. My Wet n Wild Contouring kit also made the cut.
I got rid of a couple of bronzers just because they are too dark for me (Wet n Wild* and Milk). The Body Shop one I got in a swap that I wasn’t able to use up. It’s pretty but just not something I use on the regular.
Highlighter
Highlighter is one makeup item I almost collect. I love having different shades, finishes and brands. I have tons of Wet n Wild* highlighters for good reason! They are so good! Becca highlighters are just a gateway highlighter. After using them I had to have all the highlighters! Other favs include Guerlain Météorites Highlighting Powder Pearls as a beautiful desk accessory, and the INGLOT JLO Livin’ The Highlight* is just unreal and stunning!
I only got rid of two highlighters from Wet n Wild*, just because I have a Milk one very similar and the powder one was just a tad dark.
There we have the end of my first declutter post! I don’t have a huge collection, but it’s always nice to pair down or give away product you no longer need! Any favourites you see in my collection?
