Hi there! Today, i’m breaking down the Indie Lee Discovery Kit. Indie Lee is completely new to me post the event that I attended with clean beauty boutique, Bloom Beauty. You can see my event recap of that over here. When I was at the event for a mini facial, they had used Indie Lee products and I was super impressed! I’ve been using these products consistently for a month, so I feel like I have a good grasp of them now.
Brand Overview: Revlon Candid Collection, Maverick Palette and More!
Hello! It’s been awhile! Today I have a post on some Revlon products that I’ve been using for a couple of weeks now. I have some really big winners in the bunch and I can’t wait to show them to you! Revlon always seems to surprise me with the quality of their drugstore products.
Event Recap: Bloom Beauty – Clean Beauty Studio
Clean beauty has really taken off in recent years for good reason. With the planet changing at record speed, consumers want to put their money where their mouth is. I recently had the chance to check out Bloom Beauty (1625 Bayview Ave. in Toronto), a boutique that provides both clean beauty services and products for sale. I can’t wait to show you the space!
First Impressions: Almay Spring 2019
I was recently sent a whole wack of (relatively) new Almay products, and I’ve been playing with them for the last couple of days! Wanted to show you what was worth the money, and things that I wasn’t too thrilled with. The collection of these products definitely have a ‘festival’ vibe in my opinion, with metallics and glitters! I’m super excited to show you what’s what!
Versus: Dr. Belmeur Clarifying vs. Daily Repair Line
Dr. Belmeur has been a fave since I first tried it a couple of years ago. At the time I was dealing with combo-oily skin. In the last couple of months I have noticed my skin has changed! My T-zone has been a lot less oily and I’ve been dealing with drier skin in general. I thought I would give my review/ comparison on the two different lines of Dr. Belmeur: Clarifying (oily/combo skin) and Daily Repair (for normal – dry skin).
Event Recap + Haul: One of a Kind Show Spring 2019
It’s that time of year again!! The One of a Kind show is a twice-yearly held exhibition of all things handmade, local, and much more! This is my third show with the spring show last year being my first time. I managed to check out the show on the first day and was very grateful to be invited to the media breakfast! I have tons of pics from the show along with what I picked up!
Versus: The Inkey List vs. The Ordinary
We’ve got a new player in the skincare game, and they’re making a splash already! The Inkey List is a British skincare brand whose aim is to break down the confusing jargon that is the skincare industry. Their prices are affordable, packaging clean, and ingredients simple. Remind you of another brand on the market? I was lucky enough to get a few products to try out. How does The Inkey List compare to The Ordinary?
Brand Collection: Mary Kay Chromafusion Top Picks
Custom palettes are always a hit for me. I feel like I end up using pretty specific colours for my eyeshadows so being able to pick exactly what I want is very appealing. In the fall, Mary Kay launched their Chromafusion line. Mary Kay markets these shadows as 12 hour wear which is pretty impressive. I had the lucky chance to check out ALL the colours in the collection and I picked my favs.
Brand Collection: Elizabeth Grant Wonder Effect
I have a post today that’s been months in the making! I was sent some Elizabeth Grant products back in the summer to try out and I’ve been using them on and off since then. Elizabeth Grant is an interesting brand for me. It’s one that I’ve heard of for a long time, but never really looked into the products or offerings. I had never heard of the Wonder Effect line before, so I was very interested to try it out!
Haul: New Year, New Skin
Happy New Year!! Here’s to the ending of 2018 and we’ve already zoomed right into 2019. Here begins three months of me writing 2018 on everything, amirite? Anyways, today I have a skincare haul which I made at the very end of 2018 which actually secured my Rouge status for another year. Eek!
