Event Recap + Haul – One of a Kind Show Winter 2023

one of a kind show winter 2023

It’s timmeeeeee! The One of a Kind Show is back to the Enercare Centre in Toronto from November 23 – December 3 2023. It’s seriously my favourite time of the year and I anticipate it every time! I had the immense pleasure to attend the media preview on November 23, the first day of the show. I was joined by Liz from @thechowstyle and we shopped up a storm! I had a great time as always and wanted to show you what I picked up!

So I did quite a bit of Christmas shopping (which the show is absolutely perfect for). I’m not going to show you that stuff, but I first wanted to show you the stuff that I purchased from the show for myself.

Naughty Florals

The first purchase I made was from Naughty Florals. It’s owned by Heather who designs and creates all the sassy cards, stickers, magnets and other paper goods. If you’re looking for some R rated fun in a cute and deceivingly classic style, definitely check them out. My sticker I got was pretty tame compared to the rest, but all of her stuff is bound to give a little giggle.

Roncy Packs

The next purchase is nothing new for me and seriously I was truly debating picking up another one because I actually already have 3 of the Roncy Packs fanny packs! Liz ended up picking up a limited edition print that Roncy Packs did in collaboration with I’ll Know it When I See It, another local small busines that produces Asian focused paper goodies.

I decided to purchased yet another fanny pack because I’m travelling next week and wanted another medium. So in total I have four – two small and two medium. Roncy Packs is based out of Toronto and it’s truly a family business. They source their materials locally and also do custom work for sentimental fabrics. They are just a local business that I want to support time and time again. I’ve given fanny packs as gifts to practically everyone I know. They are just complete gems and I can’t speak more highly about them.

The County Bounty

Another favourite of mine that I constantly purchase is from The County Bounty. They make artisanal sodas with cool and unique flavours. I usually pick them up as a treat for myself. They had new flavours at the show which I picked up two of them (Strawberry Rhubarb Iced Tea and Peach & Thyme). I honestly constantly forget which ones I’ve tried and liked, I should make a spreadsheet or something!

Midnight Raven Studios

A new to me shop this time is Midnight Raven Studios. I ended up getting a candle. Her booth just really pulled me in with her unique and curated products. She sells everything from jewelry, clothing, hair accessories and more. I picked up this Manifestation Candle specifically for the Naturalist. There was a ritual provided on the back for just setting your intentions which I thought was unique. I also really loved the shape of this candle as it can take up less room on the shelf. I’m very much looking forward to burning this.

Courage Cookies

Another treat for me was a stop off at Courage Cookies. I’ve bought from them previously before and they were an easy choice for a sweet treat. From Toronto, these cookie makers donate 5% of their overall revenue each month to a new charitable organization  that supports those in need. I’m definitely down to stand behind their cause and getting a delicious cookie in the mix makes it all the better. At the show the cookies were prepacked with a mix of all the top flavours with a few holiday specials in there!

Ame Collective

Last but not least is a necklace purchase from Ame Collective. I’m so happy I stumbled on their booth. This necklace just spoke to me to deeply. Their main products are these talisman necklaces. Specific symbols represented in mythology or storytelling are used to bring a certain meaning to the piece. I specifically picked up Polaris, the north star. The intention is to bring luck and guidance. All their pieces are hand carved and the craftmanship is stunning. This was my ‘treat yo self’ purchase from the show.

Provided for Review

Lastly, I wanted to show a few things that were provided in the media bag or for review.

I’ve just tried out the Lohn Erde Everywhere Spray and its already a HUGE favourite. This is made as a room spray, linen spray, or perfume even. I’m OBSESSED with this scent. I actually just came back a Marriott hotel in Montreal and this smells EXACTLY like the entrance to the hotel. I’m a huge fan and plan to spray this everywhere!

Next up in the media bag was a package of Saltwinds Coffee. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but my husband has started and I definitely think he’ll appreciate this!

Lastly, I stopped by the Everist booth and connected with the co-founder there. I’ve heard about the brand before and have been really intrigued for awhile. They have hair and body care concentrates. So not quite like a lush solid shampoo bar, but more like a balm that you use water to reactivate. I’m super curious in trying these as I think they’d be perfect for travel. I’ll have the perfect time to try them out when I travel next week!

And there we have my Winter One of a Kind show haul and recap! I’d totally recommend coming to the show if you’re in the GTA. It’s a great place to find unique gifts and shop local! Thanks so much for reading!
