Brand Collections: Tula Skincare

tula skincare

Hi there! I have a few new skincare items to write about today! I was sent three items from Tula by Influenster. I’ve briefly heard about this brand, maybe passed by it on social, but really haven’t looked much into it. I’ve been using these for about 3 weeks now, so I think it’s a good time for a review!

Tula Skincare 24/7 Moisture Cream

First up is I think their most popular product, the 24-7 Moisture Cream ($69 CAD). It’s a day and night cream that can be used for any skin type. I’ve been looking to get a really good day moisturizer so this was perfect to try. In general I can see why this is so popular. It does definitely make my skin feel plumper and more moisturized.

I do think $69 is a bit steep for this. There is also one major negative to me, the smell. I can’t stand it unfortunately. It’s not overtly ‘offensive’ but it has like, a baby powdery older person cream smell? If that makes sense? I just really don’t like it. πŸ™ Even with the smell, this product is good enough to keep on using, but not enough for me to purchase it again! (especially with the price)

Brightening Treatment Drops Vitamin C Serum

Next up is the Brightening Treatment Drops Vitamin C Serum ($63 CAD). This has been one of my favourite Vitamin C serums I’ve used. I tend to actually not integrate Vitamin C into my routine because I find Vitamin C can smell a bit. This one smells pretty pleasant with the light citrus scent. I’ve only been using this one for 3 weeks, so it’s hard to tell if it will start to smell after some use. But in general I think my skin has been looking a bit brighter and I can definitely see myself integrating this into a longer term routine!

Rose Glow and Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm

Finally we have the Rose Glow and Get it Eye Balm ($39 CAD). This is a cooling eye balm that you can use over or under makeup to brighten the undereye area. So first off this is super duper cooling and it is very refreshing under the eyes. This has hyaluronic acid, rose water, caffeine and many other fruit extracts. I have very very deep set dark circles under my eyes so it’s a bit hard to tell how well this worked. I think though it did add a brightness to the undereye area that wasn’t there before! I also really love the cooling effect. In general if you are looking for an eye treatment, this is an interesting one to look at!

Overall

In general, I was pleased with the three products that I tried from Tula. After trying so many things, you kinda know the ones that will stick around longer term and those that won’t. I can see myself liking these enough to use them up, but not sure I’d repurchase. One thing related to that was the price of these. As much as I do think the formulas are sound, I think these are a bit overpriced. I’m not saying judge a book by it’s cover either, but I find the packaging cute but cheap looking. I wouldn’t expect luxury skincare to come out of these as the colours and plastic bottles make it look much younger.

Thanks for reading! Hope this helped if you were looking at this brand. Have a great day!
