Brand Collections: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Skincare

thursday plantation tea tree skincare

Hello there! Hope you are having a great day! I have a really nice post today because it’s somewhat a throwback? Thursday Plantation sent through a very generous PR package to take a look at. I have actually used Thursday Plantation products in the past, you can see my previous review from 2018 (!!!) here! Since that time though, they have added a couple of newer products to the line along with repackaging some of their older products! I’m excited to show you my thoughts!

About the Brand

Thursday Plantation is a brand out of Australia which started with their focus on the cleansing properties of the Tea Tee plant. They have since expanded into other essential oils and other items, but their Tea Tree line is still definitely it’s hero products. Apparently the name came from the day in which the crown lease came in for the use of the land that was being developed for the Tea Trees! Very cool!

Tea Tree Face Wash Foam

The Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash Foam ($14.99 CAD) was one of the products featured in my original review. I feel pretty similarly now to what I did then too. The foam that comes out from this is very plentiful. It’s super thick with a luxurious feel. I do find that my skin can get a bit dry after using this. I do feel my face feels clean and refreshed though. A face wash I’m definitely going to use up, but not one that I would be clamouring to repurchase.

Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Toner

Next up we have the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Toner ($12.99 CAD). This again was another product that I had looked at in my original review. Something that’s changed since my last review is that I’m a lot more cognizant about the ingredients in my skincare. Growing up and even into my early 20’s Witch Hazel is an ingredient that was touted everywhere. Since 2018 though, I’ve been able to read a lot more research on if Witch Hazel is really a hero ingredient as it’s touted. Studies show that in the short term, Witch Hazel can show promising results, but used in the longer term, no matter your skin type can dehydrate and irritate the skin. This is not a slam at this particular product and I think for me personally, my skin didn’t see really any negative effects. I think it is important to know about this though if you’re thinking of picking this up!

Tea Tree Face Cream

Next up is the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Cream ($15.99 CAD)! Again, another one in my original review. Similar to that review (haha, a trend here I think). A nice cream, but not a great cream. It does feel very moisturizing and surprisingly dries down pretty quickly (but maybe cause my skin was taking in any moisture it could get!). This one has macadamia, rosehip, vitamin E, and shea butter which I’ve had good results with!

Tea Tree Medicated Gel for Acne

This is the last product that was part of my original review, the Tea Tree Medicated Gel for Acne ($10.99). My husband and I love this stuff. It 100% makes a noticeable difference in the look and size of a pimple. I’ve used other pimple patches but I have not seen the same results as this! I will continue to repurchase this time and time again!

Tea Tree and Manuka Honey Clay Mask

Next up is a new product from their line, the Tea Tree and Makuna Honey Clay Mask ($19.99). It’s a clay mask I’ll continue to use for sure, but I think as a spot treatment or just on my nose. One thing I noticed about this was that it was very difficult to remove! It definitely took longer than other clay masks in the past. I didn’t notice my skin damaged or anything, it just took longer! So one thing to keep in mind.

Tea Tree Cleansing Bar

Last but not least, is the Tea Tree Cleansing Bar ($7.99)! This is also a new addition to the collection. They recommend using this on both body and face but I didn’t try this on my face, I just honestly was so scared that because it was a bar soap it would dry me out. I don’t suffer from body acne, so I can’t comment on its effectiveness in that sense. But using this in the shower as a light exfoliation was nice. I definitely felt clean afterwards, but I did want to use a body lotion afterwards. It didn’t dry out my skin a lot, but somewhat noticeable.

And there we have it! Any stand outs for you in the collection? Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!
