If you know me at all, you know one of my fav drugstore brands of all time is Wet n Wild. I love how they’ve consistently kept their low price point, but still always seem to come up with innovative and on-point collections. Today I have an overview of the Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon collection. I can’t wait to show you a look at all the items!
Fire Dragon
The Fire Dragon collection is all warm tones with some fiery sparkle! I would say my favourite items from this group are the loose pigments. There are two colours, Gilded Crown and Fiery Reign.
Gilded Crown – Fire Reign
I love the smooth pigmentation and the colour payoff. I’ve only used these dry, but I’d be really curious to try it wet to see the colour payoff!
The bronzers in this collection have a beautiful dragon embossed on them. I’ve actually never tried the Coloricon bronzers so was curious on the pigmentation.
Queen’s Land – You’re Dragon Me Down
In the pan, I was thinking that I would like You’re Dragon Me Down better, but I found it a bit too yellow. Queen’s Land leans a bit orange, but I think still workable on my skin. I wouldn’t use either of these to contour because they have that light sheen to them. All in all, not the best bronzers I’ve used, but worth a try if you think the colours would work for your skin.
The quad for the fire dragon was pretty nice. I really like reds and cranberry shadows so it was right up my alley.
I really like the transition shade in this. The pigmentation on all of these I thought was pretty decent. I can definitely see myself using this a lot in the fall! I would recommend this quad!
Last but not least is the liquid metallic catsuit lipsticks. I really love the regular formula, but I haven’t had much luck with the metallic formula.
Queen’s Blood – Redlings
One of the reasons why I find the metallic formula a bit difficult is the patchy-ness. The colour pay off is there, but it’s so hard to build up to an even colour! With some fanangaling you can get them to work, but I hate things that take effort.
Ice Dragon
Ice Dragon is the frosty sister to fire dragon. All cool tones with lots of blues! I also really like the pure white tones. My favourite from this collection are the highlighters!
Halo Walkers – Winter Falls in LA
I will never get over coloured highlighters, tell me what you wish! I love these highlighters because one, the packaging is so beautiful with the embossed snow flake, and two, the beautiful iridescent sheen these give off. Stunning!
Next up is the loose pigments for ice dragon.
Ice, Ice, Lady – To-Knight’s Blue
In terms of what colours I personally gravitate towards, Fire Dragon’s loose pigments win for me. With this being said, I still like the sheen on these. To-Knight’s Blue isn’t quite a true blue (at least swatched on my skin), but I feel like I would use that grey-ish blue more anyways.
The ice dragon liquid catsuits were similar to fire dragon in the sense I found them patchy.
Icing on the Wall – Shall We Slay
I really love Icing on the Wall so it’s unfortunate about the patchyness. I found this blue as a lip colour to be pretty unique with navy tones shining through!
Unfortunately another item I didn’t love in the ice dragon collection was the quad.
This Mythicool Creatures quad let me down with the eyelid colour (third from the left). In the pan it shows it a duo chrome purple but I could not for the live of me get that to show. All I could get was the pink side of the duo chrome! If the full colour showed itself, I would have loved this one.
And there’s my overview of most of the items in the Fire Dragon vs. Ice Dragon. In general I say I’m team Fire Dragon, but there are some standouts in the Ice Dragon realm!
Anything catch your eye regarding this collection?
Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!
