The One of Kind Show during Christmas was my first visit ever and I had such a great time. I knew I wanted to go to the Spring show, just to see the difference and of course explore some local (or national) handmade goods. This year’s show runs from March 28- April 1 and makes a great activity to add to Easter festivities. I went yesterday with Maria from Pink Petals to make use of the ‘Late Night Shopping Day’ they had! I have my full haul, so if you’re thinking of checking out the One of Kind Show, I would recommend taking a look at these booths!
SeaLuxe
SeaLuxe was a booth that instantly caught my eye with their creams, soaps, candles, and what I ended up buying, their bath teas. SeaLuxe’s products don’t contain “any parabens, sulphates, petroleum, phthalates, chemicals, dyes or unnatural preservatives”. The goal of the company is to bring luxury products without the luxury price tag. I ended up getting the bath tea trio so I could try 3 of the mixes: Feeling Groovy, Ritual Rose, and Ocean Goddess. This usually comes with a little ‘tea bag’ but they ran out at the show. 🙁 I did get a discount on these though due to that fact. I can’t wait to try these in my baths!
Catmamola Ceramics
One of the reasons I love the One of a Kind Show is buying things that I can use for flatlays. Catmamola Ceramics definitely checked that off for me. I ended up buying a flat plate which is kind of rare to find. I like that it’s perfect for displaying product on. Catmamola also sells ceramic beads and bowls! The cute and simplistic designs really make it a great choice.
Art of Marina
A very popular artist booth was Art of Marina. The rich colours and beautiful designs really drew me in. I chose two prints, a cherry blossom and an areca palm. Marina also had a fantastic selection of fashion prints which I was definitely eyeing as well. The price on these were really great too with a show special of 3 for $30 (Maria and I split this deal). This is probably one of the best deals I’ve seen for such high quality prints. The cardstock is glossy and thick so I would highly recommend you check this booth out!
Sparkle Collective
Sparkle Collective is an old favourite for pins, patches and stickers. I love the cute ‘kawaii’ look of all the things they sell! I ended up doing a $5 ‘mystery’ pin special which allowed me to twist one of those fun mystery machines. I ended up getting lucky with a pin I don’t have from them already and got one that I actually really love! I’m wearing it on my collar today. 🙂
Cry Wolf
I did another mystery pin special at Cry Wolf. I first looked into Cry Wolf at the first One of a Kind Show and ended up buying some iron on patches. This time, I got this cute little thunder cloud who looks like they’re just trying to make it through the day. Also, while browsing their website just now, I noticed that one of their shirts, the Moto Chloe, was on Kim’s Convenience! Too cool!
Sweetsmith Candy Co.
Last but certainly not least is the Strawberry Shortcake Brittle from Sweetsmith Candy Co. Maria and I spent some time at this booth sampling all different types of their brittles and toffees. My favourite was definitely the Strawberry Shortcake flavour. They use freeze dried strawberries which gives it a beautifully sweet flavour! I almost regret not buying more as this one has already been eaten!
And there were the things I picked up at the One of a Kind Show.
The One of a Kind Show is happening at the Enercare Centre on Exhibition grounds only until April 1st! Be sure to visit, you won’t be disappointed!
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!
