Hi folks! 🙂 The journey is ever continuing to add frizz-fighting hair care into my routine. I was recently sent shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash from ChickAdvisor to review. The brand is Love Beauty & Planet which is new to me. I was really excited to try this collection out and test it on my frizzy hair!
Smooth and Serene Shampoo and Conditioner
Both the shampoo and conditioner are in the same sized bottle (which is pretty hefty!). Both products contain argan oil which is supposed to be the main frizz fighting ingredient. I notice for the shampoo that it’s a bit more of a creamy consistency than other shampoos. I noticed this with the Giovanni shampoo as well so I had high hopes (as I really like that shampoo). In combination with the conditioner, I think both of these products did do well at fighting frizz. I liked the creamier texture which seemed to help nourish my hair. One thing I was worried about was an overwhelming smell of lavender. I was pleasantly impressed that the scent was mild. I would say if you completely despise the scent of lavender, this might not be the best for you.
Calming Rain Body Wash
The body wash that accompanies the shampoo and conditioner is the Relaxing Rain lavender body wash. This seemed more ‘run of the mill’ compared to the specialty shampoo and conditioner, but still very nice. It got the job done, and I definitely felt clean while using it. Similar to the shampoo and conditioner, the scent wasn’t completely overwhelming, but definitely has a noticeable scent.
About the Brand
As this was a brand I had never heard of, I wanted to do a bit of research. Love Beauty & Planet is focused on doing good for the planet wherever possible. Their bottles are all made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The products are 100% vegan and are never tested on animals. They are always continually looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. It’s nice that the products are so great from a very green-conscious company!
