If you read my recent post, A Beauty Blogger’s Guide When Feeling Sick, you’ll know that I have a Saje diffuser and loving it! I got it back last year for my birthday along with the Best of Saje Deluxe Diffuser Blends! I thought I would talk through how I use it, and what my favourite blends are from the collection!
Empties: New Year, Same Me
We’re in 2018, and not just wooo new year 2018, but actually like in 2018. As much as the new year is great, one thing I want to stay the same is using up products! I think I actually did a pretty good job last year in using up some big things (like foundations). This empties isn’t nearly as huge as my last one, but a couple of key things for sure!
First Impressions: Annabelle Cosmetics
One thing that I’d like to explore more is Canadian beauty brands. This country is clock full of makeup that I haven’t really explored. One brand that I was recently introduced to is Annabelle Cosmetics. I’ve definitely seen them around while visiting drugstores, but never really grabbed anything. I got my makeup done last fall from Annabelle and was sent home some items to try. I’m just getting around to this post now between all the holiday releases and switching jobs!
A Beauty Blogger’s Guide When Feeling Sick
This winter has been a bit brutal. I *knock on wood* have not gotten sick yet, but I’m almost waiting for it. The flu has been particularly bad this year and both at work and at home people have been sick. I thought I would put together my favourite beauty items that help me stay human when feeling like death.
Review: Giovanni 2chic Frizz Be Gone Shampoo and Conditioner
One thing that I look for in my hair care is any mention of the words “frizz” and “free” in the same sentence. This Giovanni 2chic has “frizz be gone” which is close enough. I was sent this shampoo and conditioner duo a couple of months ago and I’ve been using it ever since. I’m happy to give my full review of this line!
Versus: The Ordinary Serum and Coverage Foundations
It’s been a long time coming, but I FINALLY managed to get my hands on both The Ordinary Serum and Coverage foundations. If you’ve been living under the non-beauty rock, these foundations had some major hype last year! It’s mostly due to the crazy price at around $7 a bottle. I wanted to do a Versus post not only to compare them, but to also share my thoughts on both of them!
Event Recap: Dermalogica Chalet
This is the quickest turnaround for a post that I think I’ve ever done! Last night I went to a Dermalogica event to promote their new products along with their brick and mortar Dermalogica Chalet. This was my first introduction to Dermalogica personally so I was really excited to dive right in!
Brand Collections: The Ordinary Skincare
I recently purchased some skincare from The Ordinary and I have been trying some items out. One of my goals for the year is to not only learn more about my skin, but also try and get into a better skincare routine. The thing that I find the hardest is being consistent with it. The Ordinary has been a hyped brand due to the rock bottom prices so it seemed like a good place to turn for to a routine. I thought I’d go through my thoughts on four items that I’ve been trying out.
Haul: Sephora Sale on Sale
If you’re not too tired of hauls after this holiday season, I have another one coming at you! Sephora always has 20% off of sale at the end of the year and I ended up picking up a few things! It’s always nice to save money and I was able to use some of my giftcards too!
First Impressions: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette + Swatches
One of the most surprising presents I received this holiday season was from my friend and fellow beauty lover Leah. She’s gotten on that Huda Beauty train, but I haven’t looked too much into her products. Of course I’ve heard the hype, and her lip kits, palettes, and foundation look to be getting rave reviews. The Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette is a beauty collection of golds, oranges, purples and red. I was so excited to start playing around with it!
