An age old, but rarely focused part of beauty is sleep. It is called beauty sleep for a reason! There’s so many different studies and recommendations on the value of a good night sleep. The thing is, with busy lives and even busier beauty routines, it can be hard to make it a priority. This Works is a newer brand to Canada that focuses on 24 hour skincare solutions to get you feeling your best throughout the day. I have two products that I’ve been trying out and would like to share my thoughts!
Brand Overview: The Green Beaver Company Extra Dry Skin Therapy
Hi there! So winter seems to be FINALLY packing up it’s bags and spring is coming in to stay. Even though you’d think that the driest skin would be in the harshest of climate, my skin has been going a bit haywire. I looked at my legs recently, and was treated with a not so nice sight. My skin has been flaky, especially on my legs, and I needed relief! Lucky for me, I was sent some products from The Green Beaver that specifically cater to dry skin!
Versus: Drugstore Eye Makeup Removers (NYX, Neutrogena, Marcelle)
One thing that I think the drugstore has an abundance of is eye makeup removers. They’re a staple pretty much through all drugstore skin brands, but how do they actually fair up to high end ones? I have three that I put to the test. I’ve used one before (Neutrogena), and the other two are new to me.
First Impressions: JLo x Inglot Collection
If there’s one thing that gets the makeup world racing it’s a collaboration. Another thing that people love is JLo becuase….JLo. Inglot, one of my favourite brands, released yesterday a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez! When I started to see the press pictures coming out before the launch I was blown away. The line seemed to totally represent her and speak to her brand. I was fortunate enough to attend an early sneak peek of the collection earlier this week and we were given a few treats to try out! Here’s my first impressions of a few items!
My Top Travel Products (Packing, Organization, Minis)
I can’t say I’m a world traveler, but when I was travelling for work and now for just vacations, there were certain things that I really liked to bring. My last trip to Disney World solidified some of my favourite travel items and I wanted to share them! 🙂
Fun Things To Do At Disney World Other Than Rides
Disney is one of my favourite places. I’ve now been to Disney World three times in the last five years which is quite a bit in my opinion. I wouldn’t say I’m a complete fanatic, but I definitely enjoy everything about the parks, characters, and rides. I have a more wholesome planning post that I wrote from my last trip here. Disney parks are always full experiences and when I go, I do a lot of other things along with the traditional rides you think of at a theme park. Here are my top things to do other than go on rides at Disney World!
Haul: Sephora Disney Springs
Hi folks! I’m back! 😀 And coming to you with a haul! I just came back from a trip to Disney World and a Disney Cruise. I knew I would be doing some shopping, and at Disney Springs in Disney World, they have a Sephora! *angels singing* Whenever I visit this Sephora I obviously try and pick up things that I can’t get in Canada. I didn’t do too much research, but managed to pick up a couple of things I’ve never seen before or have been on my list for awhile.
First Impressions: Love Beauty & Planet Lavender
Hi folks! 🙂 The journey is ever continuing to add frizz-fighting hair care into my routine. I was recently sent shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash from ChickAdvisor to review. The brand is Love Beauty & Planet which is new to me. I was really excited to try this collection out and test it on my frizzy hair!
Haul: One of a Kind Show Spring 2018
The One of Kind Show during Christmas was my first visit ever and I had such a great time. I knew I wanted to go to the Spring show, just to see the difference and of course explore some local (or national) handmade goods. This year’s show runs from March 28- April 1 and makes a great activity to add to Easter festivities. I went yesterday with Maria from Pink Petals to make use of the ‘Late Night Shopping Day’ they had! I have my full haul, so if you’re thinking of checking out the One of Kind Show, I would recommend taking a look at these booths!
Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation
With beauty blogging, I feel like you’re always chasing the next big thing. The next launch, the next collection, the next it thing. This post is taking a step back to an old favourite for many. The Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation has been around for eons it feels like. I never really looked into it but I’ve recently heard about it from some bloggers so decided to take the plunge! I can definitely say there is definitely reason why it’s remained a cult favourite!
