Hi there! A bit of a different post today! Something I’ve somewhat picked back up again is planning. I used to get the Ban.do planners which I loved, but found that I wasn’t using it all that much. This somewhat changed after starting to work from home and just not having to take a physical planner with me (room to room I can deal with!). I heard about the Always Fully Booked planner from Little Inklings Design and was luckily able to get a final run version. I’ve been using it to track my day to day along with just having it as a creative outlet. Anyways, I came across the Made in Canada Planner Collab Sale right before the sale and thought I’d re-stock on my stickers for the planner! I wanted to show you what I got!
About the Sale
As the name would suggest, the Made in Canada Planner Collab Sale focuses on small businesses that create planner accessories (mostly stickers) from sellers in Canada! Each store has a set discount with usually tiered freebies or other grab bags for the first few purchases. I ended up trying to maximize my savings and freebies (obviously) and somewhat spent a bit more than I expected? But in general I thought this sale was very well run and gave exposure to a lot of great Canadian sellers!
Most of the stores have an etsy store (which is how I ended up shopping just because it was easier to group all my orders together) and some have their own shops!
Day of the sale, a coupon code is released that is applicable to all stores in the sale. You apply that code to your purchase and your discount is applied! Easy peasy.
Midnight Snack Planner
My first order to arrive was from Midnight Snack Planner! So far super happy with both the quality and design of these. I have already put in all my garbage/recycling/green bin stickers and have some left over for next year. 🙂
Dana, the shop owner, has quite an array of both functional and fun stickers. I love the colour scheme she uses, it’s a very bold but creamy (if that makes sense?) that really makes the stickers pop.
There were a ton of discounts and freebies that I got from Midnight Snack. She has a VIP group (which is essentially being apart of her mailing list) which allowed me to get the super cute Harry Pottery style stickers. From purchasing through the sale itself I also got two freebies, one for purchasing over $15 worth and the other was a participating shop grab bag.
Would totally recommend this store and would buy again! In total (including shipping), my order was $19.28 CAD. Midnight Snack’s discount was 30% off.
Larmoiredesprofs
Next to arrive was some stickers from Larmoiredesprofs. This shop immediately caught my eye. Her stickers have a cute doodle-y watercolour quality. Right when I got them, I could tell they were very high quality. The colours are extremely vibrant and beautiful. She has a huge amount of icon stickers (like, i’m talking about hundreds of designs) so there are definitely some functional stickers for what you’re looking for.
Also, something I’m so glad I purchased from a multitude of shops were these ‘Oops bags’. They are supposed to contain stickers with some defects at discounted prices. They are honestly such a good deal and I kind of regret not getting more. They are more than functional and really good. One sheet seems to have a slight smudge of black ink, but honestly, it’s so small and still usable in my eyes.
I really love her icons and again, another great shop discovery. For the sale, Larmoiredesprofs didn’t have freebies, but her sale was really good at 40%! My total purchase (including shipping) was $16.99 CAD.
zzstickerco
I think the biggest order I made was from zzstickerco. She has a good variety of functional and design stickers. I purchased quite a few brush strokes as I like to divide things up in my planner a lot. I was able to get quite a few great freebies too. I was able to stack freebies with her VIP group on Facebook, a PR person’s code, and just the freebies being given away with each order!
I got another oops bag too and again, still so much good quality. I again had no idea with any issues on these ones! All of them seem cut pretty well and the colours are nice!
Since I was again, one of the early purchases I got a little grab bag of other shop samples! The Miss Pippa Jayne planner clip is adorable!
I really like zzstickerco‘s designs. She has quite a few really nice ones available and I got a LOT of freebies on this order! The total (with shipping) was $25.31 CAD!
Krel’s Creations
Next up is Krel’s Creations. Her stuff is super cute! Tons of pinks, purples and blues. This is the one store I bought a non-sticker related item, a little ruler. I have some rulers from my school days but I found them way too long. This one is the perfect size for the planner and i’m glad I picked it up!
Again, another Oops bag that was filled such pretty stickers that I couldn’t really find anything wrong with! There were also some number stickers that I don’t have in my photo above because I ended up using them up pretty quickly! Again, would definitely recommend these oops bags!
Again, was able to get a grab bag for being one of the first few customers on sale weekend!
I ended up spending $19.58 CAD with Krel’s Creations. Her discount was 25%.
Pretty Little Studios
Last but not least is Pretty Little Studios! Her stickers were much bigger than some of the other stickers I got. I loved some of her themes though, they are so cute! If you are looking for some larger stickers to fill up some space, I think she has some really nice options!
My final grab bag has some repeats but also some new stores featured! So many cute things!
I spent $13.08 CAD with Pretty Little Studios. Her discount was 20%!
Overall
I’m so glad I was able to find this sale before it started which coincided right when I got my planner. 🙂 Some tips for the sale:
- Join the Facebook group. You’ll be able to see all about the stores participating, the freebies, and the discounts
- Plan ahead. There are a fair amount of stores in the sale. I had my Etsy cart completely ready for sale day. That’s one the reasons I was able to maximize my freebies because I checkout out almost immediately as the sale opened
