Hello! I recently had to venture to the mall to return something at Sephora which had an innisfree store right beside. I’ve been mostly fully quarantined since end of March other than seeing my immediate family. This trip to the mall was very rare and very far between, and with it being right beside, I thought I would take advantage. I mapped out exactly what I wanted before hand so I could get in and get out really quick. I thought I’d share what I picked up!
About the Brand
For those that don’t know, Innisfree is a Korean brand which focuses on ‘green’, ‘clean’ and ‘natural’ skincare and makeup. They focus a lot of their lines on the Jeju Island, a large South Korean island known for it’s volcanic landscape and beaches. When it first came to Canada there was a lot of hype as it’s pretty well known in Korea. I received a face cream through PR earlier in the year, but didn’t really have enough to formulate any thoughts on the quality of other products or the brand as a whole.
They have what seems like a decent rewards system (I signed up the day before making my purchase) and they also have an empty product return system which is interesting. I would definitely assume some of the ‘natural’ marketing is just that, marketing, but the container return program is intriguing.
What I Picked Up
Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream Set
The week that I went, they were having their 1st Year Anniversary promotion. That week’s promotion was if you purchase the Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream Set, you’d get a choice of one of three items (I picked some sheet masks).
With winter coming, I was thinking that these would be great for the drier months. I’ve been using these three together for a few days and I really like them so far. They give a very shiny, glassy complexion and my skin feels super moisturized!
Refreshing Deep Cleansing Foam with Apple Seed
I wanted to pick up another face wash just because I’ve been starting to go low on some of mine at home. This seemed to fit my skin type, so I just went for it! I haven’t used this at all, but i’m excited to integrate it into my routine when the time comes!
Spill the Equali-tea Lip Balm Set
Another thing that I’ve been looking for is more lip balms. This kit seemed ideal to try different scents and see if I have any favourites to buy in a full size.
My big concern with this product is that it clearly points to a LGBTQ+ marketing. I wasn’t able to find anything on their website over proceeds going to any sort of charity or any write up related to the LGBTQ+ community at all. I reached out to Innisfree on Instagram and they mentioned that during their first month they donated $1 of each set’s sale to The 519, a charity in Toronto that provides service and space fort the LGBTQ+ community locally. I guess not horrible, but why wouldn’t this donation continue on throughout the sale of this product? This definitely had me conflicted.
For the products themselves, I like them a lot. The amount of balm actually in each tube seems super small, but I think i’ll get a good idea of which tints and scents I like the best.
Freebies
Sheet Masks
As mentioned, with my purchase of the Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream Set, I got to pick a free gift. I picked up the sheet masks because I feel like I’m starting to run a bit low (who would have thought, I felt like I had so many in storage ready to go!). Looking forward to trying these both out!
Most Wanted Kit
Because I spent over $50, I was apparently eligible for this Most Wanted Kit which contains their Green Tea Serum, Youth Enriched Orchid Cream, and Pore Clearing Volcanic Face Mask. Considering I had no idea this would be part of the promotion, I was pleased!
I’m really excited to give these products more of a try and will be providing more in depth reviews once I get a chance! 🙂
Thanks so much for reading! Hope you have a great day!

I need to try this brand after seeing it on Instagram a lot. I didn’t know they had a reward system, so I’ll be sure to check that out! It looks like you got some really nice things! I hope you end up liking most (if not all) of it! 🙂
I definitely think it’s worth a try! They don’t have online shopping though which is unfortunate!
