Reviews: OPI Hidden Prism Collection + Swatches

opi hidden prism

Hello hello! I’ll be honest, it’s been forever since I did my nails. With quarantine and just laziness, I’ve been doing the minimum. When Nail Polish Canada  offered me the chance to try the OPI Hidden Prisim Collection, I jumped at the chance. I’ll be sharing my (always) honest review of the collection along with swatches!

The collection comes with six shades. Very primary colour-y but with an underlying sparkle. In general, the cololurs are really pretty, but I found it very hard to get an opaque colours. All swatches are three coats. I think I could have gotten it completely opaque at four coats, but who’s got time for that?

Gleam On!

I definitely love the prismatic sparkle of all the shades. My favourites from the collection are She’s a Prismaniac and Pigment of My Imagination. I felt that She’s a Prismaniac had the best opacity and Pigment of My Imagination because it gave me some throwback feels. I don’t know if it was just when I was growing up but that powder blue was an extremely popular colour!

I’d say if you were planning to use this as a tinted sparkly top coat, then these might be a good choice. Otherwise to wear them alone, unless there is a colour that really speaks to you, not sure if these would be worth it.

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

  1. I feel like these would be so pretty layered over the same color family or a white base. I’m not big into sheers on their own on most days, but I’m always down for some sparkle!

    1. Yes! Exactly, so much better with the same colour family to add some iridescent glow! 🙂
