Foundation is literally the base for any makeup look and is one of the most important parts to my routine. I love trying new foundations, but I find I’m pretty particular with what I look for. When I was provided the Revlon Colorstay Full Cover foundation for review, I was both hesitant and excited! One of my very first foundations ever was a Revlon Photoready one and I have very fond memories of it! I’ve been using this for about a month, so I’m happy to say I have some thoughts to share.

Rambling Review
The Revlon Colorstay Full Cover foundation comes in 16 shades, I have the shade 210 Sand Beige. Unfortunately there doesn’t look like a lot of darker shades which is a bit sucky.
The packaging is a squeeze tube with 1 fluid oz (which is pretty typical for a foundation). I really like the idea of the squeeze tube just because it’s so easy to travel with.
In terms of formulation, it’s a very moussey texture. A little goes a long way I found. I usually used this with a makeup sponge which helped to disperse the product nicely.
I like my foundations pretty high coverage and this delivered. I wouldn’t say it’s the highest coverage I’ve ever tried once it’s blended in, but still helps greatly with my hyper pigmentation.
One thing I noticed was this had a bit of a metallic scent when it was first put on. Not the best smell, but it seemed to dissipate after it settled. Not a huge deal, but definitely something to note.
In terms of wear I would say this lasted me all day. I found it started to pill a bit throughout, but didn’t look crazy noticable. I really like the matte finish. It didn’t make my face look completely flat, but at the same time gave a smooth look. Blush was definitely need to add some definition to the face, but it created a great base!
All in all, I’m very happy with this foundation! I’ve been using it pretty consistently this summer and will continue to use it into fall!
