I know dry shampoo had it’s moment (which feels like forever ago), but I’m still aboard that train. One brand that I can’t stop talking about just in general is COLAB. I’m looking back on some old posts and I’ve been repping this brand since 2015! COLAB recently went through a re-brand and their packaging is 10x cuter. I received two of their new bottles for review, so I thought I’d give the breakdown.
For those that don’t know, COLAB is a UK brand created by blogger Ruth Crilly. They have an Extreme Volume and Sheer version. The sheer has no white residue whereas the Extreme Volume is made for big poofy hair (which I can attest really does add some nice natural volume). With the re-brand, it looks like the focus is on their Sheer no residue line. They’ve really stepped up their scent range too which is so cool.
Paradise
The Paradise scent is described on the site as a “tropically coconut scent”. I actually found this one had a very sweet candy scent. I’m not a fan at all of coconut scents, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one! Similar to other COLAB dry shampoos, this one diffused well and the scent lasted for some time. I usually don’t wear a fragrance everyday so I don’t mind a scented hair product at all!
Original
The original scent is tried and tested for me. I has a very light and feminine scent which is described as “effortlessly cool, bergamot and rose”. If you’re looking for a new dry shampoo that actually smells decent, this one is a great gateway dry shampoo to the COLAB brand.
COLAB is definitely a brand I will continue to look into outside of PR samples. I find it works really well and the scents are one of the best there is!
