If you saw my last post, you’ll know that I recently attended the Sephora VIB Rouge Holiday preview party. I think I was pretty restrained, but I wanted to show what I ended up picking up. Funnily enough, only one thing was from the holiday launch and the other two were from badgalriri herself. π
Tata Harper Glow for It Kit
I’ll start with the only thing I got (from the holiday launches). I’ve heard a lot of good things about Tata Harper, but I’ve never really looked into their products. I gravitated to one of the skin care kits, the Glow For It kit ($83 CAD) which contains the Regenerating Cleanser, Regenerating Mask, and Repairative Moisturizer. I’m excited to take these out for a spin!
Fenty Beauty
I picked up two things from the heavily hyped Fenty Beauty line from Rihanna. I was unsure if I was actually going to pick anything up but the hype got the best of me. Packaging reminds me of the H&M line actually. Lots of use of hexagons and simple packaging. It’s definitely super cute! I decided to pick up the foundation (Pro Filt’r) in shade 130 and Match Stix trio in light.
So far the foundation is great. I’ve worn it a couple of times and it’s a perfect fit for my skin type (oily combination). I got a pretty light shade, but it does darken just a bit as it dries down. When I was first hearing reviews, I heard that people were recommending getting 2 shades lighter? I don’t think you have to go that far, but maybe a shade or two lighter will do! So far it’s definitely up there with my fav foundation, Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation.
I haven’t tried the match stix yet, but I have high hopes. They remind me somewhat of the Kim K stuff which I haven’t really tried or looked into. Let’s see!
Gift Bag
The gift bag this time around wasn’t super impressive. This was for spending over $50 which is pretty easy to do at a Sephora Rouge event! The bag seemed so…empty. I actually really like the bag it came in so I’ll keep that for sure. The bag contained:
- Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation and Primer Sample
- Algenist Elevate Advanced Lift Contouring Cream
- Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream
- Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Shine Lipcolour
- Amore Pacific Vintage Single Extract Essence
- Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara
- Farmacy Honey Savior
Listing them all out here, there’s definitely some higher end samples in here, but I guess it just didn’t seem as ‘hearty’. Haha. I guess I should think quality over quantity.
And there’s what I picked up! Looking forward to trying it all out soon!
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

I think the lip bag is so cute and you’re right, there are definitely more expensive brands inside it so that’s always nice to try them for free!
Thanks so much!! Definitely, I guess I should think quality over quantity!
That bag is so cute!
Right? Definitely one i’ll be keeping!
I’m desperately trying to stop myself from buying all the newest launches on Sephora – not until the VIB sale rolls around! It’s proving to be fairly difficult and I’m crossing my fingers I can last!

I really want the match Stix and can’t wait for my no-makeup ban to be over in September!

I’m really impressed with them! They blend out so nice! Definitely the only contour sticks you’ll need!
Great haul! I’ve been on edge about the Fenty Beauty foundation. I’m waiting for a few more reviews to surface. Glad you’re liking it so far though! Can’t wait to hear what you think about the Match Stix!

Thanks Nicole! Yeah I wasn’t sure when I first heard launch news. I’m still testing out the foundation to get a real good feel of it! So far so good on the match stix! Still want to play around with those too!
