Something I’ve seemed to collect more and more of over the years is foundation. One of my very first posts on my blog was actually attempting to find the perfect foundation. After three years, I think I may have found the closest thing to perfection. I’ve been using the Charlotte Tilbury foundation for months and I LOVE it!

Rambling Review:
Where to even start with this foundation. I somewhat picked it up on a whim after reading some fairly positive reviews. This was last August, so my skin was darker than it is now. The shade I picked up at the time was 5. I knew right away that I loved it. It’s the best foundation that I’ve used for my skin type (oily-combination). It gives me a demi matte finish which lasts all day long. I frequently get foundation breakdown near my nose, but this did not do this. I’ve used this without any primer or powder (makeup suicide for my oily-combo gals and guys), but again, NO BREAKDOWN!! If anything, this foundation looked better with time as the foundation mixed with my natural oils to give me a natural glow.
I recently picked up another shade, 3.5, as 5 was just too dark for my skin tone now. The foundation comes in 15 shades which is pretty decent. It’s not the most I’ve seen, but I feel like they have a decent range that should match most people.
Shade 3.5 – Shade 5
Coverage wise, I would say this is build-able medium to full coverage. I have hyper-pigmentation and the occasional zit which covers fine with this. I found the best way to apply this is with a makeup sponge which gives a very flawless look.
I know this is not the most important thing for a foundation but the bottle is super luxe. I love the packaging on this. The frosted glass bottle with the metallic top looks really nice on my vanity. Funny enough, when you buy this foundation in Canada it comes with this ugly label on top. I just recently realized that the label is there to cover the claims of SPF as Canada has stringent SPF testing rules.
So only recently did I learn that this foundation has SPF! A huge plus for me as this is something I actively seek in my foundations.
Reading reviews online, people mentioned that if you have dry skin to stay away from this foundation. I can see this, but since I don’t have dry skin I can’t comment. Another thing that might be a turn off for some is the price. It’s definitely not a drugstore foundation, but with the high price of some sold at Sephora, I think this is pretty close to the range. For me personally, this is worth every penny.
Have you tried the CT Magic Foundation? If so, what did you think?
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

This foundation sounds amazing! I don’t have dry skin (only occasionally during the colder months) so I don’t see that being a problem. Need to try this! Where did you pick yours up? 🙂

You do need to try this! You can get Charlotte Tilbury at Holt Renfrew or Nordstrom! You can also purchase them online through the CT website!
Not even kidding, this is probably my all time favourite foundation.
It’s just so good!!!!! 😀
