Hello friends! As some of you may know, I’ve been travelling up north for work. During the summer it wasn’t so bad, but during the winter?! Eek. Cold and snowy are an understatement. Even as we (somewhat) move into spring, they keep the hotel so DRY. Dry to the point I actually got a nosebleed and my skin was cracking. I recently received some samples from green beauty brands, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Most products are moisturizing-focused, so I was able to let out sigh of relief! I have definitely tested these under some harsh conditions and wanted to share!
Acure
Acure is a brand I haven’t tried before. The company is family owned and focuses on plant and food grade products. None of their products are testing on animals and are leaping bunny certified! I have three products from the brand: Calming Body Lotion, Quick Fix Correcting Balm, and the Moroccan Argan Oil.
The body lotion is lavender scented and is great to use after a long day. I have heard that lavender helps you sleep better. Anything that lets you get a better night sleep is good right? This body cream was decently moisturizing. The consistency is perfect. Easy to rub in but not too thin that it doesn’t moisturize. Just a note that this has a pretty strong scent, so you better love lavender!
The Quick Fix Correcting Balm is an interesting product. It can be used multiple places (cuticles, chapped hands, feet, etc.). I found that I had to kneed this in my hands before dispensing as the oil would separate. This is probably to be expected as it’s a natural product. This worked well for my hands, but I actually preferred putting this on smaller areas such as my elbows or cuticles. I would definitely recommend trying it out for a multi-purpose balm!
Finally from Acure, we have the Moroccan Argan Oil. Another multipurpose product that can be used pretty much all over (hair, face, cuticles, etc.). Acure actually has quite a few oils with different scents. This one is rose scented. which was very pleasant. I love the fact that it’s multipurpose and it really does help my flyaways!
Weleda
From Weleda I have the Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery. This stuff really helped my cracked skin. It has a bit of a thicker consistency compared to the Acure Quick Fix, so I found it was good for spot treatments. I definitely look forward to putting this to the test in summer as well (scrapes, blisters, I’m ready for you!)
The Green Beaver Company
A must when travelling or just living my life is lip balm. This one is from The Green Beaver Company (which is Canadian)! This went on smooth and moisturized well. I did find I had to re-apply soon after, but that wasn’t really a problem for me.
RADIUS
Last but not least I have the RADIUS Tour travel toothbrush. This is so perfect as it folds up to save space. More room for makeup amirite? But this toothbrush is BPA free, leaping bunny certified, with a removable and replaceable brush head which makes it PERFECT for keeping handy for travel!
And there we have some of the green beauty items I’ve been using while braving the cold up north. I look forward to trying more products from these brands!
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

I’m almost done using up a bottle of the Acure Moroccan Argan Oil, I add a drop with my body lotion every night and makes my skin soo smooth!
It’s so multipurpose I could definitely see that! That’s such a good idea to add it to your body lotion!
Acure sounds like a good green beauty brand. It’s nice to support smaller companies as well. I am in love with the Green Beaver toothpaste! I haven’t tried their lip balm…though it sounds like a must-have as well π
