The one makeup item I use the most is eyeliner. I have very sparse eyelashes which makes eyeliner a must. Today I’m coming to you with a review of a new eyeliner I’ve been using, the Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion. Let’s see how it fares compared to other liners I’ve used!
Overview:
A super black liquid liner that packs a punch, but some practice is needed to master it.

$27 CAD

Rambling Review:
As mentioned before, black eyeliner is my favourite. Hence, I’ve tried a lot which I can compare this to. The UD Razor Sharp liquid eyeliner is a brush eyeliner which includes the liquid in a little pot. The eyeliner lid/brush is quite long which is helpful to get a good grip while applying.
As per the Sephora website, you get 0.07 oz of product which isn’t bad. In my go-to Kat Von D Tattoo liner you get 0.02 oz of product for around the same price ($25).
Next onto the brush. It’s quite thin which is nice to get a sharp line. The one thing I don’t like about the brush is that I find it too flimsy. It takes me some time to get a clean line just because I can never really tell where the brush is distributing the product. I never really understood why people had trouble with liquid liner as I never have any trouble with my KVD, but after using this I sorta feel like a newb!

I have three swatches to show the comparison of the Razor Sharp liner. As you can see, the Razor Sharp gives a very sharp, black line which I love.

Another comparison I have is after the swatches were wiped with a Simple makeup wipe. The Razor Sharp eyeliner is ‘water-resistant’ which I completely believe. I have pretty watery eyes (and my lids get oily) but I didn’t notice any huge transfer issues. As you can see from the comparison though, Razor Sharp was pretty much wiped clean. I think this is good that you really don’t have to scrub your eyes to get the liner off.
Finally we have what the product looks like on my eye. As you can tell it’s super black. Not a matte liner, but that’s fine with me (I can use the MJ Highliner for a matte liner look).
All in all, I think the UD Razor Sharp liner is a very solid liner. It takes some practice, but with some time, you can get some really pretty results.
Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

Definitely! Would totally recommend it if you love super black liners!! Thanks Nicole!
Definitely tempted to try it! Love how black black it is. And honestly, every new eyeliner takes a bit of getting used to for me.
For sure, love how black it is too! I’m just so used to the tattoo liner brush, that with this one I was such a derp!
Not sure if this is one I would give ago in the future, I’m not the best at eyeliner and if it’s quite flimsy to use I may have to give it a miss.
Thanks for the post though, it was really helpful and I enjoyed reading it!

For sure. That’s definitely the main downside for me. I guess I’m just more used to the denser brush of my KVD. Thanks a lot Alys!
