So unless you’ve been under a rock, I’m sure you’ve heard of Pokemon Go. It’s the AR, geolocation game based on the popular Pokemon franchise that is taking the world by storm. I’ve been a huge fan of the Pokemon series already so this Pokemon game for mobile devices has been interesting! I’ve been definitely playing but not quite addicted. 😉 I’m more excited for the new Sun and Moon games coming out soon! Anyways, in the Pokemon Go games once you reach level 5, you get the choice between 3 teams: Instinct (Yellow, Zapdos), Mystic (Blue, Articuno), and Valor (Red, Moltres). I was inspired by these 3 teams and their colours and decided to do 3 different makeup looks representing them!

All shadows used are from the NYX Beauty School Dropout Graduate palette. I just did a review on this palette (with swatches) here! The black eyeliner is old reliable Kat Von D Tattoo liner in Trooper.

1. Instinct

So the team I decided to choose was Instinct. Apparently Instinct is the least popular team and that’s fine with me. I actually dislike the colour yellow, but I chose the team based on the description. “You believe Pokemon are creatures with excellent intuition.” Not sure why, but this spoke to me versus Mystic and Valor!

The NYX palette only really had one yellow shade. I put that all over my lid and highlighted with a bright sliver. In the crease I used a matte brown to transition!

2. Mystic

Next up is Team Mystic. The NYX palette had a lot more choices for blues and I kept the use of the brown for the crease. Looking at this photo now, I should have blended a bit better, but live and learn.

I also used a Clarins aqua blue eyeliner to line my bottom lash line.

3. Valor

And finally we have Team Valor! There is one red in the NYX palette, but I was able to complement that with redy-purpley-browns. Like the others, I used the main colour for the lid and blended out with a brown. This time I did a bronze instead of a matte brown in the crease.

And there was have 3 makeup looks inspired by Pokemon Go!

    1. Thanks so much Chelle! That means a lot coming from the Queen of eyeshadow looks! 😆 yeah I’ve seen a couple of different looks where people have actually drawn Pokemon in their outer corner but that’s way too artistic for me! (thanks also for the retweet btw, means a lot!)

    1. Thanks Lindsey!! I have been playing on and off too (mostly because I keep running out of poke balls lol). I’m almost level 16. I’m actually more excited for the new actual Pokemon games coming out in November!

      Mystic I think is the most popular team!

  6. They’re all really pretty looks, but the team red one calls to me the most! I haven’t gotten into the Pokemon Go thing, although I have played the actual Pokemon video games in the past. Mostly it’s b/c my phone has such a short battery life already and Pokemon Go would just kill it!
