Hi folks! I have a quick first impression of the new Kat Von D Glimmer Veils which were recently released online at Sephora. These puppies aren’t in store yet and will be released at Sephora on September 8. At IMATS last weekend (recap and haul can be found here), I managed to get my hands on two of the colours Rocker (described as a copper with gold glimmer) and Razzle (magenta with pink glitter).
Event Recap: IMATS Toronto 2017 Tips + Haul
Hi friends! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I had the pleasure of attending the IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) in Toronto and had a wonderful time as always. This isn’t my first time at IMATS (you can check out my 2015 IMATS post here) so there are some definite tips I can offer up someone thinking of joining in on the fun! I also have a haul of all the items I decided pick up at this year’s show!
First Impression: Too Faced x Kat von D Better Together Palette
Too Faced and Kat Von D are both heavyweight brands in the beauty world. When I first heard that these two brands were doing a collaboration back in August, I was definitely intrigued. I would say I’m more familiar with the Kat Von D brand compared to Too Faced, but with the Sweet Peach Collection, I can definitely say I’ve dived right into the brand with no looking back!
The Better Together kit includes two separate palettes that can be combined with magnets in the spine including a full sized KVD Tattoo liner and Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I took some time deciding if I was going to get this kit at $80 CAD. I finally caved because I’m a sucker for limited edition sets. Do I think it’s worth it though? Lets get on with the first impressions.
Review: KVD Lock-It Color Correcting Eyeshadow Primer
Today I have a review on the Kat Von D Lock-It Color Correcting Eyeshadow Primer. Kat Von D has an entire ‘Lock-It’ line with foundation, concealer, powder and primer. I was interested in trying this eye primer as it’s color (or ‘colour’ for us Canadians) correcting. I’ve tried a few primers such as the ones from Urban Decay and Nars, and definitely wanted to see how this compared!
