Empties: Lots of Hair Stuff

*Purchased

Hello! 🙂 I have another empties post ready to go. I feel like I’ve been starting to hoard a couple of small sample things so I’ve been trying to make an honest effort to use things up!

Foil Packets

Bumble and bumble Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner
Repurchase: No

I got this as a sample with one of my Sephora orders. All in all a good shampoo and conditioner, but nothing really I would pay for. And Bumble and bumble you pay EXTRA for haha.

Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Eye Firming Treatment
Repurchase: Maybe!

I’m not really a huge eye cream person but I actually really really liked this one! It just felt so refreshing. I would definitely use it again, but just not sure how much use I would get out of it if I bought it…

Biore Charcoal Nose Strip
Repurchase: Maybe

I feel like charcoal is definitely the ‘it’ thing for beauty products nowadays. I got this free in a magazine and was intrigued. I like the regular Biore nosestrips so I was wondering how these would perform. They kind of were pretty regular in their performance, but what I liked was you could more easily see the nasty pore gunk on the strip because it’s black!

Shiseido Eye Wrinkle Expert Cream
Repurchase: Nah

I got this sample from buying something from Shoppers! I love how every time you buy something from the Beauty Boutique you usually get a little sample (compared to Sephora…) This was a really nice cream too, but I felt it was just a bit thick. I guess that’s what eye cream is supposed to be but meh. I liked the sample, but don’t think I would repurchase.

Minis

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
Repurchase: Haha maybe

I’ve talked about these before, and I really don’t love them. I find they aren’t moist enough and have kind of a funny smell. They do the job though, so if I receive them from one place or another I’ll use them up.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette
Repurchase: No

I don’t have colour treated hair, so meh. Haha.

Nexxus Therappe Shampoo
Repurchase: Maybe

I actually really liked this shampoo and conditioner. (Conditioner will be in another empties)! It definitely seemed like a higher end shampoo that did make a positive difference in my hair. I feel like these might be expensive though, haven’t really looked into it.

Living Proof Perfect hair Day Conditioner
Repurchase: Maybe

I’ve talked about Living Proof in the past and like their hair stuff. I think they are definitely overpriced for the full size, but I end up stocking up when I see them on sale.

Boscia Thermal Black Cleanser
Repurchase: Maybe

I thought it was really interesting how it warmed up! It was a nice cleanser that did the job, but I just didn’t feel that oomph. Like, it didn’t break out my skin, but didn’t necessarily help it.

Full Size

Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes
Repurchase: Yes

My friend Leah bought some of these and kindly let me have a pack. These are definitely quality wipes for a very good price. The only thing is that I don’t like the smell too much. They kind of remind me of baby wipes. But I did repurchase some because they work really well and are so cheap!

Up and Up Cotton Rounds
Repurchase: Can’t, but slowly going through my stock pile…:(

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Facial Cleanser
Repurchase: No

I kept this in the shower as a cleanser and it did the job. I don’t see myself really purchasing Clean and Clear cleansers again just because I used one once and it totally broke me out. I wouldn’t say I have super sensitive skin either. This one I got for free somewhere and it works nicely though! Just fearful to try others…

Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony
Repurchase: Probably

Classic. I say I’ll probably repurchase this just because it’s so expensive! I’ve been using the NYX Micro Brow lately and I like it, but it’s not quite as amazing as this. But I’m willing to search for another dupe! I might try the Marcelle one next.

Thanks for reading!

Empties: Goodbye Summer :(

*Purchased

Hello friends. As we are almost half way through October, I’ve come to a sad realization: Summer is OVER. ;___; For this empties post, I’ve grouped together August and October. Here’s what I finished off in those fleeting days of summer.

Foil Packets

Fresh Rose Face Mask
Repurchase: Probably not

This was a nice face mask. I’ve used this one before in the little foil packets. I think the full size is just too far out of my price range considering I really don’t use masks all the much.

Biore Nose Strip
Repurchase: Probably

I have a few of these to use up. I never find the time to end up using these. I don’t think they work great, but they do a decent job to remove my yucky blackheads pretty much ingrained in my nose.

Balea Purifying Face Mask
Repurchase: No

I really like the Balea masks just because they are so affordable, but I didn’t like this one all that much. I prefer the mud masks from them, as I thought that this one really didn’t do all that much for my skin.

Full Sized/ Deluxe Minis

Dove Body Wash in Cucumber and Green Tea
Repurchase: Yes

Probably my go to body wash! If you’ve been reading my empties for awhile, you’ve probably seen this one pop up quite a bit!

Klorane Dry Shampoo
Repurchase: Maybe

If you’re interested, I did a dry shampoo comparison post here. This worked quite nice and I liked the scent. I’m just not sure if I would pick it over Batiste or Colab. Also, the price is a bit of a turn off too.

Cetaphil Makeup Removing Wipes
Repurchase: Yes

I won this deluxe sample size from a contest that Alanna had over at Classy on the Run. I was very pleasantly surprised with these! They left my face feeling very clean and were very very moist! I look forward to picking up a full size of these after I go through my wipe stash.

Boscia Cleansing Gel
Repurchase: Maybe

I got this in one of those Sephora Favourite kits last year. I liked this cleanser, but nothing really all that special. It did the job and didn’t break me out, but I didn’t feel any real benefits for my skin.

Josie Maran Bare Naked Wipes
Repurchase: NO

I was very disappointed with these. The packaging was kind of weird and would not close properly, so the wipes dried out very quickly. Even when I first opened them, I really didn’t feel any cleansing properties. It got off some makeup but not nearly as good as other wipes I’ve used.

Up & Up Cotton Pads
Repurchase: I can’t

Another Target cotton pad pack is done! I’m slowing making my way through my stash.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo and 5 in 1 Styling Treatment
Repurchase: When they have the Sephora sales!

These are from the Sephora 500 point perk (which you can check out here). I like this Living Proof line, but I am honestly not willing to pay that much for it. It’s great in my opinion, but not thatttt great. Lets see when they have the Boxing Day/ Black Friday sales if I’m able to snag the sample packs.

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Repurchase: Maybe

I’ve had this little bottle for an embarassingly long time. It’s so old that the packaging was starting to break down a bit. :/ I finally finished it off though. I like the primer potion, but I’d be open to trying different eye primers out. I’m using the NARS one right now and I like it. I’d also like to try the Too Faced one eventually!

Urban Decay De-slick
Repurchase: Yes

I loved this for summer. It’s been the only thing to keep me somewhat matte throughout these sticky months. I’ll probably use this less now that winter is coming, but I’d kind of be curious to see what it looks like now that the air is much drier!

And there we have another empties post! Soon enough I’ll be posting how I did in my Finish 5 by Fall Challenge (spoiler, not good). Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading!

Empties: Oodles and Oodles of Empties! :D

I am so proud of myself, I’ve been able to finish a lot of items in July! I believe this is the most products I’ve finished in a month! Granted, most of these are foil packet one-use things. I split these up into separate pictures, just to get a better look at things.

Foil Packets

THEFACESHOP Sheet Masks*
Repurchase: Yes, but different varieties as well!

To hear my thoughts about these, you can check out my full review here.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream**
Repurchase: Maybe

I got this for Christmas actually, it must have came as a sample when my parents purchased me some gifts from Sephora. Is it sad that my parents got samples and I never get samples from Sephora? Probably. This was very pleasant actually. It soaked into the skin very quickly and I work up with my skin refreshed. I’m not too sure the full price on this and am not really looking for a new night cream right now.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
Repurchase: No

I got this sample after my makeover with the CT makeup artists. (You can see my haul from CT here!) I noticed this on my makeover day and I noticed it with this sample, but I thought the cream was a bit too moisturizing for my skin. My oil production was no match for this product! I can see if you have very dry skin this could be a really good moisturizer! Another reason I wouldn’t repurchase this is the UNGODLY price tag!!

Murad Pore and Line Minimizing Hydrator
Repurchase: Maybe

I used this at the beginning of the month and to tell you the truth, I don’t really remember if I liked this or not (#bbloggerfail :/). I want to dive a bit more into the Murad brand and would be interested in some of their acne solutions or moisturizers! Maybe soon.

Full Sized/ Deluxe Minis

Up & Up Cotton Rounds
Repurchase: I can’t!

I have a pack of these every month in my empties. I stocked up like crazy from Target and I have a pretty generous supply!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup Removing Wipes
Repurchase: Yes

I really liked these wipes! They’re a tad cheaper than my Ole Henriksen ones (aka super expensive lovelies). All in all a very solid wipe. The wipe is thick enough, stays moist in the package, and large enough to get all my makeup. It’s soaked with the Bioderma micellar water so if you’re a fan of that, you’d probably like these as well! I feel like I’m a makeup wipe aficionado with all the wipes I’ve tried!

Glam Glow Youthmud Mask
Repurchase: Maybe…

This little sample size lasted me for quite awhile. I did notice a difference with this mask, but I’m not sure it’s really a $90 difference to shell out for the full size. Something I noticed which was weird was there were huge leaf chunks in it. I wish it was ground down a bit more just because it’s so odd to put a whole leaf on your face!

Caudalie Make-up Remover Cleansing Water
Repurchase: No

I got this awhile ago with the Caudalie 500 point perk (which can be read about here). I was able to use this up, but I really wouldn’t purchase this again. It did remove some bits of makeup, but nothing life changing. I was using it as a toner to remove some last bits of makeup leftover from my wipes.

Bath and Body Works Winter Candy Apple**
Repurchase: Maybe

If there is something that I use up from Bath and Body Works it’s the shower gels! I liked this scent a lot!

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream
Repurchase: Yes

This has been one of the best hand creams that I’ve used! It was the fastest absorbing cream and that’s a major factor when I use hand lotion. It’s not the most moisturizing cream that I’ve used, but just for on the go moisture, I would repurchase!

Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner in Trooper
Repurchase: YES

I have a comparison of this and the KVD ink liner here!

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
Repurchase: Maybe

I felt it left my skin very clean, but I found the scent a bit weird. It had a bit of a plastic tinge? Nothing crazy though and it wouldn’t necessarily make me not use it!

Maybelline Baby Lips in 05 Quenched
Repurchase: Yes

Perfect for just tossing in my purse when my lips needed a bit of hydration! I thought the formula was great and much more affordable than Fresh Sugar balms!

Benefit Posietint**
Repurchase: Maybe

This was my favourite tint of all the ones I tried! I loved how perky and pink it was! I felt like it didn’t stain my face awkwardly like Benetint which meant for a more natural blushed look!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Repurchase: No

Vanessa mentioned that she uses this to foil eyeshadows. I was going to try this but then I used it up before I could try. D’oh. Haha. After trying de-slick, I won’t be repurchasing this.

Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray
Repurchase: Yes

You can read a more in depth comparison of All Nighter and De-Slick here!

E2 Elements Squared Detox Fire Shampoo**
Repurchase: I don’t think I can!

Full review on my experience with E2 here!

Macadamia Deep Repair Mask
Repurchase: Yes

I really love this hair mask and it lasts FOREVER. I’ve had this kicking in my shower for more than 3 years (gross? Maybe). I love how it smells and makes my hair feel really nice after!

And there we have a very long post about all the lovely products I finished in July! Nothing was trashed this month! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Empties: Smell Ya Later June

Hello hello! Another month has passed which means another empties post. I think I used up quite a few products this month. I’ll just jump right in.

Full Size

Elements Squared (E2) Custom Shampoo and Conditioner
Repurchase: Would if I could!

I was surprised how long this lasted me! During the holiday season, I was lucky enough to win Whitney‘s contest for a custom designed Shampoo and Conditioner. The company was amazing and helped cater these to my needs exactly. I was very very happy with these and considering how long they lasted, I would repurchase. To my knowledge though, they are only available in Vancouver. You can see my full overview of the products here.

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes
Repurchase: No

Finally managed to finish these off. I did a full review of these which can be read here.

Dove Go Fresh Body Wash in Cucumber
Repurchase: Yup

My go-to body wash!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (Clear)
Repurchase: No

Funny enough, I found this empty container in my makeup drawer. I guess I was saving it for an empties? I had the mini version featured in a past empties which can be read here.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum
Repurchase: Yes

I quite enjoy this serum for when I take showers at night. I wouldn’t say my hair is frizz free with it, but it leaves my hair with a nice loose curl after I wake up. Half the time it’s hairspray and then I’m out the door.

Foil Packets/ Minis

Pantene Pro V Repair and Protect Miracle Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner
Repurchase: Maybe?

This shampoo and conditioner were kind of meh for me. Didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it either

Nivea Aqua Effect- Cleansing Gel and Mattifying Day Care
Repurchase: No

I had these foil packets sitting around forever and decided to use them. I was curious about the lotion as it mentioned that it was ‘mattifying’. I did not notice any difference. They didn’t break me out though, so I guess that’s good!

Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths
Repurchase: Probably

These were the wipes that I bought for my trip back in April. Did their job exactly as expected!

Tarte Clean Slate 360degree Creaseless Eye Primer
Repurchase: No

This little sample took forever to use up! Not a fan of this at all. I thought the consistency was a bit too liquidy and I didn’t like that it had a pearly effect after you put it on.

Trash

Mitchell and Peach Flora No. 1 Luxury Hand Cream
Repurchase: No

I got this in an ipsy and even though the scent was a bit weird, I actually didn’t mind it. I reached for it the other day and the lotion had completely separated. I shook it forever and no change. Not too sure what happened but this is definitely a toss for me.

I think June was a very successful month for me! I think I might go through my makeup collection and do a giant purge. I have so many old products sitting around that should just be tossed. I feel like it’s throwing away money though since it didn’t get it’s full use. Ah well. So expect that sometime soon.

Thanks very much for reading! Hope you have a great day! 😀

Empties: Shave Season Has Begun

Another Empties post for May is here! 🙂 See what I used up last month…

1. Wipes: Yes to Cucumbers and Garnier Refreshing Remover Makeup Wipes

Repurchase: Yes to both

My friend actually bought the Yes to Cucumbers wipes to try out. She said that it made her face actually burn and completely go beet red. After this story she graciously asked if I wanted the pack. Haha. I should have been more worried than I was after her story, but they worked out fine for me! I would repurchase.

I got the Garnier ones at the L’Oreal Sale which you can read about here. The only thing that really stood out was the scent. It is super strong. It smells like the BB cream if you’re familiar with that. I really liked these wipes though as I noticed they were larger and thicker than normal.

2. Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Foil Packet

Repurchase: Meh

I’ve already talked about this in many empties. Another foil packet haha.

3. Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony

Repurchase: Yes (already done actually)

The problem with this product is that you don’t know when it’s all gone! Mine just made a clicking sound which I assume meant I was at the end? Either way I wasn’t getting any more product out. I went out the next day to replenish this. Love this! I wholly recommend it!

4. L’Occitane Hand Cream in Cherry Blossom

Repurchase: Maybe

I got this in a mini pack of 3 hand creams and this one I liked the most. I found it very fresh and lightweight. The only thing that would stop me from re-purchasing is the price! The mini’s aren’t so pricey though and still last me forever!

5. Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser

Repurchase: Probably Not

I got this in one of those Sephora $12 deals. I really liked this actually! I didn’t suffer any breakouts from this, but I did notice some whiteheads around my mouth. I’ll take that over a cyst any day. I can’t see myself repurchasing just due to the price though.

6. Up and Up Cotton Rounds

Repurchase: Not this brand anymore!

These are the Target ones that I ended up stocking up like crazy. I’ll be set for awhile.

7. Gillette Satin Care Shave Cream with Olay

Repurchase: Sure

I got this mini for free somewhere. Shave cream is usually just whatever for me, but I did notice a difference with this. It foamed up very nicely and left my skin feeling great!

That’s all for this month! I feel like I’m actually starting to make a dent in all the samples and minis that I have!

Hope you are having a good start to June! 😀 Thanks for reading!

Empties: April Showers Bring May Flowers

I think this is the closest I’ve come to having a monthly empties! And I’ve been posting so often, I’m proud of myself. Haha I guess having dental surgery has given me some extra time.

Here is the very small amount of the things I ended up using in April (including one thing for the trash).

1. Balea Calming Face Mask

Repurchase: Yes!

This is probably my favourite mask from Balea. It has a very minty feel and it’s very refreshing. Love it and highly recommend it! I wish though that it wasn’t in a foil packet so I could save it easier. OR put less in a package and make it cheaper. 😉

2. Olay Fresh Effects S’wipe Out Makeup Wipes

Repurchase: No

It wouldn’t be an empties post without some makeup wipes. I try a LOT of wipes haha. These were alright but one time they got near my eyes and were all stingy and uncomfortable. With the huge array of wipes available I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing these.

3. Dove Go Fresh Body Wash in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena Scent

Repurchase: Yes

This is my go to body wash. It does the job and  I love the scents they have. 🙂

4. Fresh Sugar Lip Balm

Repurchase: No

I really didn’t love this. Used it up, but after trying so many other lip balms I will not be going back. Baby lips are cheaper and better formulation in my opinion!

5. Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis Complex

Repurchase: No

So this is the product that I’m throwing out. I got this for free somewhere. It seems like actually a pretty high end brand and product. I tried it once, but it didn’t work out. It’s sort of like a serum, but the consistency was very very weird. It also sort of broke me out which was weird. It’s been sitting on my vanity for years, so I finally decided to toss it. Maybe I got a bad one though, haha maybe that’s why I got it for free.

6. Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Hand Cream

Repurchase: Maybe

When I first got this, I thought the scent was weird. It started to grow on me though. The hand cream isn’t anything outstanding, but I liked it. I’m not sure the price on this though. Knowing Josie Maran I feel like the price would throw me off a bit.

7. Pur Minerals Pur Polish Exfoliator

Repurchase: Yes

I actually bought this years ago and it lasted forever. I haven’t tried many exfoliators, but this one is awesome. It’s not too harsh, but not too subtle either. It feels just like fine sand. I will definitely be purchasing it again

And there we have it! Hope you are having a great day!

Empties: Trying to Use Up Things

Such an original title.

So onwards with my journey of using more and spending less! Here’s what I used up in the last couple of months.

(How I’ve been doing this is just filling up an old Sephora bag and when I see it getting somewhat full, it’s time for an empties post. I don’t use up enough stuff monthly to do that shindig)

1. Cotton Rounds from Target

Repurchase: Yes (until I run out D:)

Boring, but always go back to them. Even long when Target leaves Canada you’ll be seeing these just because I bought like 10 million of them as backup. It’s the nostalgia man.

2. Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths

Repurchase: Maybe

I got this mini travel size in an ipsy bag. I quite liked them actually! They were different than any other wipes I have tried. They were kind of soapy which was interesting but didn’t leave a residue. They are expensive (about the same price as the Ole Henriksen ones) so I’m not too sure if I will be getting them again anytime soon.

3. Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths

Repurchase: Maybe

I actually got this pack from a friend for my birthday (which was ages ago). I like these wipes as they are substantial and leave my skin feeling very nice. The only thing is the price as always. *sigh*

4. Balea Defrizzing Hair Mask

Repurchase: No

Wasn’t really a fan of this. It didn’t really do much to my hair. I have a Macadamia deep conditioning cream that I’ve been using for years that I would much rather use.

5. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo and Conditioner

Repurchase: Probably not

I bought this on one of the $12 Sephora sales. I still have the leave-in treatment to use up. I liked this shampoo and conditioner. I actually wasn’t a huge fan of the smell, but I did think they did a better job than my drugstore shampoos. The price of these are just astronomical in my opinion though.

6. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel

Repurchase: Maybe…

I got this in a kit from Sephora that I got for Christmas. It was a really interesting concept and did make my skin feel noticeably tighter and smoother. It’s a 2 step process that give you 2 different wipes to use. Super easy which I loved. I’m not really too sure if I’m looking for a product like this to integrate in my skincare though…

7.  Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion

Repurchase: Probably Not

I had two samples of these to use up. I’m sure a lot of you have seen other beauty bloggers reviewing this. I guess it could be hard to judge from a foil package, but I didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin. Maybe I don’t normally have super dry skin though. Dunno.

8. Rocky Mountain Organic Sugar Scrub

Repurchase: No

I got this from the Chick Advisor Show Case I attended (you can read about it here). I wasn’t a huge fan, but maybe just because I’m not a huge fan of the scent (lavender). The product itself worked okay though.

9. Stila Stay All Day Liner in Black

Repurchase: Yes

This has been my go to liner for the longest time. I’ve been trying out other liquid liners though, and I’m really liking the Kat Von D one! I also want to try the MUFE one!

10. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer

Repurchase: Yes

I really liked this moisturizer! I’m trying to find it in full size, but I still have a couple of moisturizers to use up. I would definitely re-purchase it though!

11. Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash

Repurchase: Yes

I go back to this face wash time and time again. It does a great job of cleaning but without leaving my skin too dry. I would definitely recommend this!

And there we have it! Hope you enjoyed going through my garbage. 🙂 Have a wonderful day!

Empties: Starting the New Year

Hello!

On my blog to this point, I have not done a whole lot of Empties posts. I definitely have noticed this and I want to change this year!

In the past though, I have done a lot of Haul posts. One of my new year resolutions is to spend less and use up more of what I have. One of the reasons I cancelled my ipsy subscription is the amount of product I was receiving but not having enough time before the next shipment to use it.

I thought I would start off the year with an Empties post to get this shindig started.

Just a disclaimer. This is not a December empties or anything. This is like, months of empties lol. I don’t use of things very quickly.

1. Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix

Repurchase: Maybe

I thought I would try this after my Urban Decay All Nighter ran out. It was okay I guess. Didn’t notice anything amazing with my makeup, but it wasn’t detrimental or anything. I know a lot of people don’t like the smell of this, but I liked it. 🙂

2. Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Make Up Remover

Repurchase: No

I would definitely not repurchase this. I’ve heard really good things about it, and it worked pretty well, but I found it super duper oily (ironically). The price is good, but there are other good ones for this price too which work just as well.

3. Ole Henriksen Oil Free Pore Refining Makeup Wipes

Repurchase: Maybe

I really liked these wipes actually, but of course the price is a bit of a down side.  I liked these wipes because one side was a regular smooth wipe and the other side had exfoliating beads. The smell I thought was pretty nice too. They smell minty and eucalyptusy.

4. Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Repurchase: Maybe

This was from my 500 pt Caudalie perk from Sephora. I really liked this! It was more of a gel then a lotion which was interesting. It smoothly went on and it wore well throughout the day. The only thing I don’t think I’m cool with is the price….

5. Benefit Stay Don’t Stray Eye Primer

Repurchase: Maybe

I have a lot of ‘maybe’ repurchases! LOL. I got quite a lot of use out of this sample. I liked it because it was more of a concealer consistency than my Urban Decay primer. I did notice that some days it wore better than others, and if you put too much on it would get a bit cakey.

6. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner

Repurchase: Yes

This eyeliner has a lot of hype, and I’m on that bandwagon. It’s just so easy to use. The only thing is the shiny look it gives after it dries. I usually like more a matte look, but for how good this eyeliner is, I’ll deal with it. I also do notice it smudges a bit onto the lower outter corner of my eyes but all of them do. I can’t fault this eyeliner for that.

7. Benefit Gimme Brow

Repurchase: Maybe

I quite liked this product. I always like time saving things and this one was definitely it. A brow gel and brow colour in one was great. This was my first brow product and it worked out pretty well. I’ve moved on to Anastassia Brow Wiz, so that’s the only reason why my repurchase is ‘maybe’. I’m loving the Brow Wiz and not sure if I will deviate.

8. Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

Repurchase: Probably…

During my last empties, I noted that I didn’t like the smell of these. Still sort of don’t, but I’ve gotten used to it. I would say the Ole Henriksen one are definitely better quality but the price definitely denotes this. Even though I don’t love these, I think they are decent and will probably repurchase if I see them on sale. :p

So those are my Empties to start off the year. I look forward to doing more reviews and empties during 2015. I have so many great products that I’ve been dying to try out?

Anybody else trying to do a no-buy thing this year?

Empties: I’ve Realized I’m Pretty Cheap

Hello!

So I rustled up some empty products for an empties post! As mentioned in my first empties post here, I honestly don’t finish very many products all that quickly. But anyhoo, I thought it would be good to document what products I use up and how much I like them :).

1. Ole Henriksen Truth to Go Wipes

This was actually in my first empties post as well haha. After I used up a travel size of these wipes, I decided to buy the full size. I did enjoy them a lot, but I think the price is a bit off putting. I might decide to try the other 2 versions (purple packaging and green packaging) once my current wipes (Simple) run out. Due to the price though, I just can’t see myself using these regularly.

2. Simple Cleansing Wipes

They do the job, but not my favourite. I used to think the smell was kinda gross, but I’ve gotten used to them. :p I always seem to find them on sale, so I buy them. :3

3. Cotton Rounds

Since Target came to Canada this is what I’ve been using to remove my eye makeup. Honestly, they’re just pretty plain, but I’ve been liking them better than using tissues (and they’re cheap!).

4. Benefit Total Moisture Cream

This is the first thing I’ve managed to use up from my Benefit Advent Calendar (haha, I really do take a long time to use up things…). I was really happy with this cream. It has a perfume smell that some people find too much, but I actually really like it. The only thing is that it doesn’t have SPF and the full size seems beyond expensive.

5. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

This is a funny product. At first when I started to use it I would notice no difference. As I started getting through the bottle though, I started to like how it made my makeup feel. I would buy this again, or maybe the De-slick to try that one out. At the moment I am using the Make Up For Ever Mist and Fix and I like that one so far too.

6. It’s a 10 Miracle Leave in Cream with Keratin

Last year when I went to the States, I picked up a mini size of this try. I’ve heard a lot about this product on YouTube (Ingrid specifically) so I really wanted to try it. I really enjoyed this product! It sprays out really easily even though it’s a cream and I love the smell! 🙂 I’m going back to the States this year, and plan to re-purchase.

And there it is! Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Empties: My First Ever Empties

As mentioned in earlier posts, I would consider myself pretty new to makeup and beauty. A miracle has happened recently though. I noticed that I’ve started to use up products.

Since I’ve started buying makeup about four or so years ago, I’ve noticed that I really haven’t used up any products. Thinking about it now, it seems kind of gross but meh. Old makeup I’ve thrown out, but this is the first time I have gotten the full use out of a product.

Anyways, I definitely won’t have enough products to do a monthly empties, but I thought that I would start to do them whenever I happen to have enough to validate a post. 🙂

So here are some recent empties:

1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light-Medium

I would definitely repurchase this product. For the price, I really really loved it. I think it gave decent coverage and I was able to wear it without moisturizer. It was a really big time saver when I was in a pinch.

2. Smashbox High Definition Concealer in Light

I really liked this product too. This was actually the very first product I purchased from Sephora. As it was my first higher end makeup product, I have no regrets. It was a pretty reasonable price for a Sephora product and it gave decent coverage. I feel that my current Make Up For Ever concealer is a bit nicer, but considering the price difference, that’s to be expected.

3. Ole Henriksen Truth to Go Wipes

I received this product from one of the $12 Black Friday Deals and really enjoyed it. The scent is not too strong compared to other Ole Henriksen products and it made my skin feel really soft and nice after using them. I liked these so much I ended up buying the full size from Sephora which can be seen here!

4. John Frieda Frizz-ease Original Serum

This is a product that I’ve been using for a couple of years. I usually take my showers at night, and I noticed when I put it in and sleep with it in, it leaves my hair with nice waves in the morning. To tell you the truth I don’t think this supremely helps with my frizzy hair, but when I don’t use I notice my hair is out of control!

And that’s it for now! Thanks for reading!
