It’s funny that Revlon is actually one of the first makeup brands I tried (my first foundation was a PhotoReady foundation) but I actually haven’t looked into a lot of their recent offerings. I have four products brand new to me that I’ve been integrating in my daily look. I thought I would show you a look I put together along with mini reviews of all the items!
I’ve been noticing that the drugstore has been picking up their game, and Hard Candy is no exception. I find there can be hits or misses with Hard Candy, but I wanted to share two really big hits! Hard Candy recently released two new 15 pan palettes. One leaning cool toned and one leaning warm toned. I can’t wait to show you swatches of these beauties!
As I make my way through the Essence Fall/ Winter 2017 launches I was sent, I keep finding gems. The Water Kiss Glossy Lip Colours definitely surprised me! I’m usually not a glossy lip person, and didn’t expect much pigmentation at all. These little guys pack a punch though!
Hello folks! I know colour correcting is a bit of a ‘been there, done that’, but there is a launch from Essence that I think is worth looking at. I’ve tried a couple of colour correctors here are there and they’ve always been pretty good. The only issue is that for something I don’t use all the time, I don’t want to spend a huge amount of money on it. I think the Essence Colour Correcting Sticks have that point covered!

Hi friends! I recently got the chance to go to a Wet N Wild 2017 launch party and was gifted most of the new collection. Wet n Wild is a major drugstore favourite for me just because of the quality coupled with their unreal price point. The brand is cruelty free and PETA approved which also gets major brownie points. I’ve been trying out some of the products, and there are some definite wins that I wanted to share! There are face products, lip products, and a product to take it all off!

Chelsea from Olive and Ivy let us know on the CBB Facebook group that Shoppers Drug Mart had some Revlon lip products on sale for 3.99 CAD (compared to around $10 CAD normally). I also recently got an email from Shoppers Drug Mart letting me know it was 20x the Optimum points for $25 purchases and over. I actually have never seen a 20x the points for anything less than a $50 purchase so I thought I would trek out to Shoppers.
I bought one lip butter to add to the other 3 that I have. Here are the swatchs of my mini collection.
For those that haven’t tried them, I highly recommend them. They do not dry out your lips and add the perfect hint of colour. I would say for those that aren’t interested in a super pigmented lipstick these are a great option.
Regular price they are definitely a bit more pricey than some other drugstore products (is it me, or is the drugstore starting to look more expensive every year…) but they I would say worth it. They have a great colour selection so you should be able to find one that fits your fancy!
I believe the sale at Shoppers Drug Mart is still on for a couple days (until May 22nd, 2015) so if you want to grab a couple this is the time to do it!
