Hi there! So winter seems to be FINALLY packing up it’s bags and spring is coming in to stay. Even though you’d think that the driest skin would be in the harshest of climate, my skin has been going a bit haywire. I looked at my legs recently, and was treated with a not so nice sight. My skin has been flaky, especially on my legs, and I needed relief! Lucky for me, I was sent some products from The Green Beaver that specifically cater to dry skin!
The Green Beaver Company is a total staple for Canadian Green beauty lovers. It was created out of the shock of how many harsh chemicals can be found in some beauty products (even those marketed towards children)! The company is cruelty-free, ecocert certified, and vegan (other than the lip balms which contain beeswax).
Extra Moisturizing Lip Balm
Speaking of lip balms, the Extra Moisturizing Lip Balm really impressed me. I would consider myself a bit of a connoisseur of lip balms and think I’m pretty picky. This lip balm is an actual balm which I think really helps with it’s moisturizing properties.
This is different than other ‘cream’ lip balms I’ve tried as it’s not super thick. I like that it’s very neutral with a hint of a minty taste. You can layer up to have a lip mask, or if you want to layer a lip product over top, you can use a really sheer amount. I would definitely recommend! My perpetually dry lips are lapping it up!
Extra Dry Skin Body Lotion
I found the Extra Dry Skin Body Lotion different than others I’ve used. The one thing I noticed right away is that it takes a LONG time to rub in. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend you use this if you need to just slap something on.
BUT the pro is that it completely sinks into the skin with no greasy feel at all. After using this my skin feels like just a better version of itself. Your skin still feels like skin instead of a tacky lotion. This stuff definitely works to calm dry skin (my legs have been thanking me).
All in all, I’m so happy with The Green Beaver and this Extra Dry Skin line. I love the idea of supporting a Canadian brand that’s doing good for the earth and good for your body!
