There’s a new hair cord company in town! If you’ve never heard of them, hair cords are pretty much the hair elastic killer. They look like a land line phone cord (remember those?) that work so much better than a traditional hair tie. Gummiband is a new hair cord brand and I was sent a very generous supply to try out and give my thoughts!
Hair cords are not something new to me and I’ve been using them for a couple of years. They have become very popular over the past little while because of their cute and innovative design to keep you hair up, pain and kink free, with easy removal.
Gummiband is a new hair cord brand that I think is differentiating themselves from the rest. You can get hair cords everywhere and honestly, they are all pretty much exactly the same. So what makes Gummiband different for the $7.99 CAD/ 4 pack price tag?
One of the biggest things is that this a Canadian company. They ship out of Vancouver in paper mailers for free in Canada! I think this is a huge plus as you’re not calculating duty, customs, or trying to figure out where the hair cords are shipping from when you’re buying off an eBay seller.
Another huge plus is that you’re supporting a female run company that also supports charitable initiatives. Gummiband reinvests through Kiva to support female run business startups in developing countries. They also have a commitment to the local community such as mentoring high school students through work experience and employing adults with developmental disabilities and special needs. All of these things definitely set Gummiband apart from the rest.
If you’ve never tried hair cords before, I highly recommend you get on that ASAP! Gummiband activated a code if you’re interested in getting 2 extra Gummibands with the purchase of every 4 cord pack. Add the code BONUS69 to the notes section at checkout. This is NOT an affiliate code and I do not get anything from this. Just thought I would share if you’re interested!
Thanks so much for reading! Hope you have a great day!
