Event Recap: Anastasia Soare Meet & Greet

Hello! I’ve been doing a lot of Event Recaps lately, but I love to both read and write these! Hope you’re still enjoying reading them! I recently received an amazing opportunity to meet Anastasia Soare, The woman behind the brand Anastasia Beverly Hills. If you’re at all interested in brows or contouring, you’re probably already well versed in her products. It was such an amazing experience, filled with makeovers, makeup, and fun!

The event was held at the Sephora in the Toronto Eaton Centre (where else? :D), and I ended up going with my other makeup obsessed friend Leah. I was able to get on the ‘media’ list for this event which seems a bit surreal. When we got to the event we signed in and had the opportunity to get our makeup touched up before meeting Anastasia. Leah and I decided to give it a try and our makeup artist was SO SWEET.

For me, I don’t contour all that much , but the makeup artist gave us both a beautiful glow. She used the new Sun Dipped Glow palette which totally enabled both of us to grab one. Neither of us had brought something for Anastasia to sign so we thought that this was perfect. The makeup artist also used the Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks on both of us. She put a bright bold pink on me called Rio and I fell in love. I ended up picking up one to take home with me because I loved the colour so much!

After we got our makeup touched up we were directed towards Anastasia. I was so extremely nervous and my face was twitching from smiling so much. Both Leah and I met her at the same time and she was amazing. She signed our new Sun Dipped Glow palettes and took some selfies. Let me say, she is the queen of selfies. She was turning every which way to get the best lighting. Due to my face twitching like a maniac, I was surprised I was even able to hold the smile I did.

After meeting Anastasia we were in a bit of a daze. Since we spent over a certain amount, both of us actually got a few really cute Anastasia Beverly Hills gifts.

For our gift with purchase, we got this really cute square mini makeup bag with some concealer samples (too dark) and a teeny weeny brow wiz (a bit too light). Also in the bag was a really pretty ABH compact! I’ll definitely be taking this on the go with me!

Another gift with purchase included a clear brow gel from ABH. I’ve never used a clear brow gel, so I’m excited to give it a go.

After a bit of time using the new Sun Dipped palette, I’m in love. Each shade has a beautiful iridescent glow without being glittery and chunky. I’ve been using some of the darker shades for eye shadows. Once I get a bit darker from the summer, I can’t wait to try my hand at the bronzers.

Overall the day was amazing. After Sephora, Leah and I did a bit more shopping and then went to see Me Before You (the book was better, but still cute and worth a watch. The use of Ed Sheeran songs though. *tear*).
