First Impressions: Too Faced Sweet Peach + Swatches

sweet peach palette

Well hello there beautiful. <3 After getting totally enabled from the ladies over at the Canadian Beauty Bloggers, I bought my first Too Faced palette! And is it ever a doozy. I heard the hype around this palette to no end and after I was alerted that it was in stock, I snatched one up. I’m so so glad I did! Presenting, the Sweet Peach Palette.

If you’re familiar with Too Faced palettes, Sweet Peach is packaged similarly. the 18 shadows are housed in a metal container with a magnetic closure. I would say the palette is pretty easy to open because of the magnetic versus clasp hold.

As per the name, there are a lot of nice warm pinks and browns found in this palette. One of the reasons I wasn’t coveting this from the beginning was that I thought it might be similar to my Naked 3. After playing around with Sweet Peach, it definitely has hints of rose gold (mostly in the shade Bellini), but I would say it relies more heavily on the bronzes. Also in Sweet Peach you get a bit more colour variety with 18 shades instead of 12 with the Naked 3.

Something I was pleasantly surprised about with this palette was the colour selection. As similar as all the light shades look, they are different enough to warrant them being in the palette. The darker colours did not disappoint either and I could see myself coming up with tons of combinations with them. Another amazing thing about this palette is the fact that the shadows are so buttery. It’s not a super cheap palette at around $60 CAD so this is almost something to be expected! Nevertheless, they blend extremely well and they have awesome pigmentation.

And let’s not forget the scent! Too Faced has really made a name for themselves in terms of wonderfully scented palettes. Again, as this is my first Too Faced palette, I don’t really have a baseline. But if all of their palettes smell as wonderfully as this one I will be headed to Sephora to buy each and every one of their chocolate bar palettes. I would say that the talk of this smelling like fuzzy peaches is pretty accurate. It is a sweet and tangy scent that is not overwhelming at all. Fuzzy peaches is one of my favourite candies, so I find myself sneaking sniffs here and there. 😉

Now for swatches!

As you can see some of the lighter colours had a bit of trouble showing up on my skin, but that’s fine. I plan to use them as base colours anyways.

Unfortunately, this palette is currently sold out online, but it is set to release in stores on April 15th. If you can hunt one down I definitely recommend grabbing one (even two!)

Thanks so much for reading! Hope you have a great day!

    1. I know I know, I have tons of neutrals either. BUT NONE THAT SMELL LIKE PEACHES. (trying to validate purchase lol)

    1. Yeah I grabbed it right away when I saw it pop up for Sephora Canada! Yes hopefully you’ll be able to find it! Fingers crossed!

  1. Sooo pretty! Just looking at the shades in-pan, I wasn’t really a fan, but seeing them swatched out really makes a difference! Especially diggin’ the shades in the second row–AND DID YOU MENTION THEY SMELL LIKE PEACH?????? I’M COMING OVER.

    1. Plz come and smell the wonder that is sweet peach. I’m so so impressed with this palette! So buttery and they blend wonderfully!!

  2. It is SOO pretty! But I shan’t, I know buying eyeshadow palettes is pretty much burning money for me cause I don’t wear much eyeshadow 🙁 But…I’ll for sure go to store and sniff this, I’m a fuzzy peach fan as well. 🙂

  3. This palette was overly hyped all over Youtube but a few bloggers whom I trust said this is not the best palette from Too Faced, some of the shades are not as pigmented. :-/ I personally have yet to try anything from Too Faced but I probably will purchase the Peanut Butter and Jelly palette.

    1. Hi Shireen. Sure I definitely agree it was hyped! For me, I definitely got caught up in it. I honestly really really enjoy the palette though. I haven’t tried any Too Faced palettes either, so I can’t really comment if it’s better or worse. All I can say is that for me, the pigmentation is pretty good and blends really well! To each their own!

  4. Sooooo preetty!!! Bellini is the prettiest out of all the swatches! As much as I want this palette, I’ve committed myself to project panning the anastasia self made palette. Would love to see what looks you create with this!

    1. I know me too! This was such an impulse, but I’m so glad I got it! I have so much makeup to use up though!
