One thing that I don’t do much on this blog is talk about hair care. I think one of the reasons why is that my hair is finicky. I’ve come to accept that whatever I use, my hair will be frizzy. Recently I was sent some samples of the new Tresemme Beauty-Full Volume line which is to be used in reverse order: conditioner then shampoo. Skeptical if this line would make a difference, I dove right in. And actually came out of the whole thing with pretty decent results.
I was sent three things from the new line: Shampoo, Conditioner, and a ‘hair maximizer’ (essentially a blow-dry treatment). First using these, I wasn’t really too sure how it would work out. I’ve heard the beauty rumours about reverse washing, but had never tried it myself.
Both the shampoo and conditioner felt like regular shampoo and conditioner. I noticed that while conditioning first, I had to use a bit more product. I think it was just because my hair wasn’t clean to really absorb the product. Not too big of a deal though. After conditioning, I left the product in while I washed my body. I usually do this anyways with regular conditioner. After a couple of minutes I washed the conditioner out and was quite impressed! My hair felt super soft and not overly ‘dirty’ feeling. And believe me, I’ve tested this with my hair filthy (nice thought eh?). Following up with the shampoo was quick and easy. I loved the scent and my hair felt amazingly soft afterwards.
After stepping out of the shower, I followed up with the ‘hair maximizer’. It was essentially just a cream for your hair. I used my round brush and hair dryer and went to town.

I actually enjoyed these product too. Though I found the “lift” was most obvious on day 1 and then by day 2 not so much.
Yeah for sure. I guess claim-wise, I didn’t notice a super amount of volume. But since I enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner so much I’ll let it slide hehe.
Eh, here in India we apply oil before shampooing most probably this line is inspired by that concept ……but applying oil is much cheaper and chemical free option anyway
Ah! That’s interesting! I’ll have to try that, im sure it must help!
