This post is a long time coming! Ling from The Cosmetic Critic tagged me for this and at the time, I felt like I wasn’t qualified. I only had about 5 or 6 blushes in my collection so that’s not really ‘addict’ status. Then in the spring going into summer my collection just exploded! I hope I’m a bit more qualified to answer these questions now!
1. What colour blush suits you the most?
I’d like to think corals. I feel that corals add a bit more dimension than other blush colours. But that’s just my opinion I guess.
2. Pressed/cream/loose blush?
Definitely pressed. I find it easier to apply with a brush. I don’t know how people apply cream blush with a brush, I always have to use my fingers. And I don’t have a loose blush! I don’t think I’ve even really seen a loose blush!
Hmm shimmery blush…I would have to pick the same one that Ling picked, Milani Luminoso. It has an almost duo chrome effect to it. The end result is a super pretty glow!
4. Favourite matte blush?
100% my Mary Kay blush in Watermelon. I got this from a Canadian Beauty Blogger swap and was pleasantly surprised. It’s nicely pigmented and with the packaging I can just snap it in my Z Palette. Super handy!
5. Favourite cream blush?
I don’t really have or use cream blushes. I have an orange cream Revlon one in Coral Reef which is pretty though! Orange blushes are so interesting and I like the effect it gives. I have a feeling I might have to get rid of it soon just because it’s kinda old!
6. Favourite drugstore blush?
I’ll say the elf Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia. This is an infamous dupe for NARS Orgasm and Laguna duo. This was probably one of my first blushes and I really like it! Good pigmentation and you cannot beat the price!
I definitely have to say the blush in my Hourglass Ambient Edit palette in Luminous Flush. SUCH A GOOD BLUSH. So expensive, but the staying power is something I haven’t seen in my other blushes. It also gives a glow that looks so natural, but put together.
8. Favourite bright blush?
I actually don’t have very many bright blushes, but I’ll choose my ColourPop blush in Cheerio. 🙂 It’s probably the brightest blush I have, but it’s not anything crazy. I like the berry colour to this as it gives a deeper flush when blended out!
9. Biggest blush disappointment or regret?
I would have to say my only single elf blush pan in Tickled Pink. It’s just so light that it’s almost like you aren’t wearing anything. For this reason I don’t think I’ve ever worn it. It’s just sitting there unused.
10. Best blush packaging?
That’s a toughie! I’m going to have to go with my Ambient Lighting Edit palette again. I know not all of these are blushes, but what can I say. I was almost going to go with my Milani blushes just because of the pretty swirls, but the packaging itself isn’t that great. I would feel very nervous traveling with them just because I’d be so scared that they’d get cracked. The Ambient Lighting Edit palette in comparison is a lot more hefty, and just so luxurious!
11. What’s on your blush wish list?
I hate to say this because of the price, but the only thing I can think of is another Hourglass blush! If they are all as good as the one in the Edit palette, sign me up! I’d also like to get try a few more Tarte blushes! I have a mini one and I really like it!
12. Number 1 holy grail blush?
I’m actually gonna go with my Benefit Coralista. I have the mini pan which is lasting me forever, but it’s such a pretty shade. I would say it’s super wearable for all seasons and all skin tones. There is a slight glowy sheen, but not too sparkly at all! I would definitely recommend it!
And there we have my blush picks! 🙂 I’m not sure if that was easier or harder since I don’t have a TON of blushes.
Tag wise, I’ll tag:
Alanna from Classy on the Run
Elyse from Lindseyginge
Steph from theFantasia
Whitney from Macarons and Mischief
Amy from newkeybeauty
If you haven’t done this already, please feel free to do this! Link me with your post, I would LOVE to read it! 😀 Hope you have a wonderful day!

#TEAMCORAL FTW 😀 (Bare Minerals does loose blushes, IIRC)
And cream blushes are definitely easier to apply with fingers, but sometimes I get lazy and use my stippling brush!
This post has made me realise I actually do own “Tickled Pink” but can’t remember the last time I actually wore it, hah. Also, I don’t know if it’s because mine is an itty bitty sample, but I have issues getting Coralista to show up on my face. IT’S PRETTY THOUGH.
Ohhh! Yes yes! Actually funny enough that you mention that I remember that Bare Minerals does a loose blush.
I should actually try my stippling brush with my cream blush! The only stippling brush I have isn’t really that dense so hopefully it will be able to distribute the product okay!
Fair enough! I do find that Coralista can be a bit harder to show up. Haha I love when a post can jog your memory!
