Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. I feel like I either heard a dismayed sigh or an excited squeal. I would say I react with a combination of both. Even when I wasn’t in a relationship, I always enjoyed Valentine’s Day. Everyone seems so happy and caring and there’s chocolates. Tasty, tasty chocolate. How can you fault a holiday that encourages you to eat candy? But then of course there is SO much marketing about love and mushy gushy, which ends up getting a bit much.

This Valentine’s Day, I’m gonna take you through some ways you can take back this holiday and make it about you! You are loved and you are special! This should be a day to celebrate yourself and all your lovelyness! Lets get this show on the road as I take you on a magical journey of treat yo self.

Treat Yo Self with Delicious Shower Scents

One amazing way to feel the love this Valentine’s Day is to use a tantalizing scent in the shower or bath. I tried the I Love… Bath and Shower Creme in Vanilla and Ice Cream and can I say heaven? I’ve always been a vanilla girl over chocolate. This scent works perfectly for that indulgent night in without literally eating vanilla cake and ice cream. This is definitely the next best thing. 🙂 There is actually a warning on the label not to eat this! I thought it was funny at first, but after smelling it, I could totally see how you could be duped!

If you’re not a vanilla girl like I am, I Love… has other yummy scents like Mango and Papaya, Coconut and Cream, and Raspberry and Blackberry. These are sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart!

Treat Yo Self with Time Saving Hair

Dry shampoo, amirite? It has come to the point that I literally use dry shampoo every other day. It saves so much time because I only have to wash my hair every other day. This sounds extremely dramatic, but I can’t really imagine my life without it. I have bangs and they usually get pretty oily looking pretty quick. Back in the summer I did a dry shampoo faceoff which featured COLAB. One thing that I love about COLAB is their amazing scents. I have not found a dry shampoo which smells quite so good.

COLAB will be releasing 2 new scents Tokyo (‘oriental’ scent) and New York (‘fruity’ scent). These will be exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart in March 2016 and I got a sneak peek! The other scents such as Rio, London, and Paris can be found at London Drugs, Jean Coutu, Lawtons, and select Rexalls. If you are at all interested in dry shampoo I would recommend trying these out for sure!

Treat Yo Self with a Relaxing Face Mask

There is nothing better than a face mask to just relax and chill. Cult face mask brand Montagne Jeunesse recently rebranded to 7th Heaven! I’ve never used these masks (with the old or new name), so I was super excited to try these out. I love face masks because I always feel like they end up bringing a bit of calm into my day. I was very happy with these! The scents were really great and the peel off versions came off easily (a huge plus). I can definitely see myself purchasing these again! You can find these sold at London Drugs, Walmart, Pharmasave, and Jean Coutu.
