Charlotte Tilbury Canadian Launch + Haul

Hello! 🙂 Hope you have been having a great day!
So yesterday my friend Leah (who is thinking of potentially starting a beauty blog too!) and I went on an adventure to Holt Renfrew to check out the NEW Charlotte Tilbury counter!
To be honest, I wasn’t familiar with the entire Charlotte Tilbury line, but her lip products have been touted everywhere so I wanted to check it out. Even though I didn’t go on the day she was doing her meet and greet, I was still so happy to check out the entire collection for myself! I had such an amazing day.

Planning the trip to Holt Renfrew, it was my intention to try and get a makeover done. I found out last minute that you needed to have an appointment so I lowered my expectations. Arriving at Holts, you could tell the euphoria of last night’s launch still hadn’t wore off. We made our way to the counter to look around. We were greeted by a cheery gentleman who asked us if we needed any help. We mentioned that if at all possible, we were hoping to get our makeup done to get a real feel of the products. We mentioned that we did not have an appointment and would totally understand if we couldn’t be accommodated. He was so sweet and managed to get both of us an artist to work with!

The makeover took about an hour and I had such a great experience. For the makeover, we were able to pick one of Charlotte’s looks to re-create. I chose The Sophisticate (the 2nd look from the right on the top row). I usually don’t go to counters or get my makeup done so this was definitely special. It was my first time in Holts too, so I was nervous anyways. My makeup artist was very sweet and knowledgeable. She explained a fact about every single thing she applied on my face and was very nice to me! (Even when my eyes were watering and messing up all her hard work!). The end result was nice. I don’t think I would re-create the look just because I feel like it didn’t suit me all that much. It was great to try out the products first hand and just look at all the pretty makeup. 🙂

Now to what I ended up getting! I can’t sugar coat this, the makeup is expensive. I would definitely consider this a luxury purchase. One thing I wanted for sure was the Pillow Talk Lip Liner. So…I got it. 🙂

1. Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk

Price: $27 CAD

I would definitely say this is a perfect my lips but better colour. I only have one lip liner from MAC, i bought it to use with my brighter Wet N Wild lipsticks. Since I have NOTHING like this in my collection, I thought it was justified. 😉

2. K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Hepburn Honey

 Price: $38 CAD

Ugh the packaging on this! It’s by far the most beautifully packaged lip stick that I own. This is a lipstick that was used in my makeover along with Pillow Talk. It looks sooo so pretty. As mentioned, I don’t own much of this colour lipstick at all. I felt like I could get a lot of use out of it, so I splurged.

Hepburn Honey – Pillow Talk

All in all, I had a great experience. Everyone at Holts was so sweet and accommodating and just seeing the bright and beautiful counter was fantastic. So far I’m very happy with my purchases. If you can, I would say go to the counter to swatch and try out the products. I can see both of these products getting a lot of use in the future!

Are you excited about the new Charlotte Tilbury launch?

Thanks for reading! Hope you have a great day!

  1. Hepburn Honey is so gorgeous! You'll definitely get your money's worth out of that color I'm sure. I can't wait for the counter to come to Vancouver this fall!

  2. What a pretty color lipstick 🙂 The hepburn honey look so gorgeous !! I am happy to hear you have a wonderful expereince at holt, I always have a wonderful experience too every time I shop there too 🙂

  3. (DO IT LEAH. JOIN THE FUN SIDE.)
YOU GOT SOME NICE THINGS. But seriously, I'm gonna need more of those lipsticks JUST FOR THE PACKAGING. IT'S A WORK OF ART.
I've never had my makeup done at a counter either, just because my skin is terribad and I'll feel like I'm being judged. Still, it would be fun to get it professionally done! (Sidenote: did you eyes start watering because of the prices? ;))

  4. Definitely, same with me! That was on my for-sure list going in just because of the rave reviews. I actually don't use lip liners either, but that's half the reason I was so intrigued!

It's honestly to die for. I don't have any Chanel or YSL or anything like that so this is the most luxuriously packaged product I own. <3

  5. I think the Vancouver counter is coming soon! Hopefully once it does you can run out to grab some stuff! I think you can also order online! I think I talked with you about brown lipsticks before, but I finally took the plunge with this one!

  6. That's what I was thinking too. The price of the products were a bit scary for me, but I thought that investing in a treat that I would be able to use would be worth it!

  7. Thanks Janet! 🙂 This was my first time in Holts so everything was new. I was super happy with the service and can see myself definitely going back to purchase high end makeup!

  8. LOL, I will let her know you said that. 😉 I actually told her about you and your like, a million blushes. We are both rather envious. 😀
It's just incredible. I loveeee the one that you got too. I don't even have a proper word to describe it. They are just….ugh.
Yeah i'm always worried about that too. I had a stubborn pimple on my cheek and I sort of joked with the MUA about it. She totally made me feel comfortable and she told me that she had a spot on her face while meeting Charlotte. Bonding moment haha.
OMG, you are too good, that's hilarious. The prices could definitely had something to do with the watery eyes. 😉

  9. I passed by when they were getting everything ready for her arrival the evening before and all the workers look so busy. lol the marketing looked great though!

Happy your first time in Holts was a good one, I haven't been in before and I definitely think it has a rep in certain spots (the mall I frequent apparently has some rude employees… or so I've heard. lol)

I really want to try some of her stuff out if I ever get the chance. I like how creamy everything looks.

  10. Yeah they did a great job with the setup. Very nice!

It was honestly great. Yeah I can totally see that. I was actually pretty worried because sometimes when you're seen as a 'younger' person I feel like you can be treated with less respect. I guess they assume we can't afford it and just want to make a muck of everything? :/ I find that annoying.

If anything you can wander in and see if anything catches your eye! I think I'll be going back (eventually) to pick up another lipstick!
